Went there as they had vegan items on their menu. Wish I hadn't.... the pasta dish was very dry and portion size so small compared to other dishes at the table. As for the service... reminded me of Rome.... so friendly as you sit and take your order then forget you are there.... won't be back.

My go-to place near the office for high-quality pizzas. Perfect dough thickness and texture, amazing topping variations, and those truffle fries were 10/10.

A few months ago, I visited Astoria on a weekend with a friend just to grab a couple of coffees. It was a cold day, so we stepped inside to order. When I told a staff member we wanted two coffees to go, she told us we had to leave and order from the outside takeaway window. I was surprised β€” we were already inside, and I couldn’t understand what difference it made. When I pointed this out, she reluctantly took the order but snapped that β€œnext time” I should use the window. I told her there wouldn’t be a next time, and I meant it. Fast forward to today, I had to return for a lunch meeting, so it wasn’t my choice. The food was okay, nothing overly special, but the service was disappointing once again. After finishing our meal, we wanted to order coffees and drinks. For at least 10 minutes we tried to get someone’s attention, but we were completely ignored. At one point, it even felt deliberate. In the end, we gave up and decided to go next door for drinks instead. When paying, I mentioned to the staff member handling the bill that while the food was fine, the service had been poor. Her response was dismissive: β€œWe’re busy today.” I explained that we’re paying customers, and we were planning to order more but felt ignored. Her reply? A curt β€œOkay, see you later.” That level of rudeness sealed it for me. In times when customers think twice about where to spend their money, the least any restaurant can offer is decent service. I gave Astoria a second chance, but both times I was treated poorly. There won’t be a third.

Great chill atmosphere, service was fast and cheerful, the food was delish! I had the prawn pasta and also tried the hot honey sausage pizza and it was next level! Beautiful cocktails and great wine choices.

I love this place. The food, atmosphere and staffs are sooooo nice. You can order different dishes and share. You should try here if you have never been. You won’t regret it!

Really good spot. Went for lunch and it was great. Service wasn't experienced (but still friendly) the one time I've been but it had no effect on the experience at all.

Consistently good. From the initial greeting to the delightful service to the delicious food made in house, to the range of drinks including good zero options. There has also been a lot of thought given to how this classy urban establishment presents its appealing menu options. The branding is on point but subtle and it remains a favourite local anytime of day.

One of the best restaurants you will never be disappointed in Wellington. Professional and friendly staff, incredible pizza and pasta, which you need to try. Don't forget to book your table at lunchtime, because they are always busy, and it is very hard to find a table if you walk in. Come back every week and the food is always amazing.
