   I've been to most cafés around Wellington City and Petone/Lower Hutt, and Kelburn Café is hands down the most consistently amazing. I order Eggs Benedict everywhere I go, and after 10+ visits here, I've never once had an over—or undercooked egg - the consistency here is outstanding. It is a small café, so when it's busy there can be a short wait for food or coffee, but it's always worth it. The coffee is consistently perfect, and the beans they use are clearly top quality. The café is run by a small team who always serve with a smile, and the atmosphere is amazing. Couldn't recommend them enough - I'll definitely be back regularly.

   Funny how you often don’t think to review your local cafe but here goes…. I really like this cafe under the current ownership. It’s a simply little place with a few tables upstairs and downstairs and a few tables on the street. They turn out very good breakfasts in a teeny kitchen which is open for all to see. A small but good selection of cakes and pastries. The coffee is good and cheese scones and bacon and egg pie are standouts. Not a great choice if you are a tea drinker though. They stop doing hot food quite early. Don’t expect particularly chatty staff but perfectly pleasant.

   We stopped in while walking the dog, seating outside was limited but after 5 min we managed to get a small 2 person table our pup could sit under for shade. We had an iced choc & a milkshake to drink and a chicken filo and a bacon&egg slice to eat. Food was heated & came with a small side salad plus a bowl of relish. Everthing was delicious. Cost $32 which we felt was very reasonable. Even though the road outside is pretty busy it still felt relaxing to sit in the sun & watch the world go by

   Awesome cafe. Great sunny spot too. Friendly staff so definitely recommended. Eggs Benedict was really good and the flat white with oat milk was perfect. My wife has avacado on toast with a frothy hot chocolate which she really enjoyed. Parking can be a challenge and not many seats so be patient in the village. Take aways also available if you are in a hurry.

   Great. Typical experience today: blueberry friand, delicious ("would you like butter or yoghurt?" "both please"; came with a little bowl of each); the BLAT pictured ("would you like it toasted?" "no, but could you take the bacon out and heat it on the grill, then serve it?" "sure!"); a flat white (beautiful, tasty); and a hot chocolate. Kids had toys to play with, the other patrons kindly swapped tables with us so all five of us could fit, it wasn't too loud, it wasn't too hot or too cold... and still great a couple of years later.
