“This is a unique time capsule and an example of very clever late 19th/early 20th century innovations in domestic architecture/technology. Absolutely fascinating and guides were encyclopedic in their knowledge. Even the family history was attention grabbing. Everybody in our group was impressed with this place. 6 (or 7) out of 5 stars.”
“Stunning regional park. Can book beach front accommodation through Auckland Regional Council”
“It's pretty nice over there saw a couple of animals.”
“I had an amazing tour with Richard the full day LOTR Wellington tour which includes Weta Workshop. Richard was knowledgeable, fun and really cared about giving a memorable experience to his group! Xplor tours keep the group sizes smaller, so you don't feel lost in a crowd and it's a great option for solo travellers! Absolutely, I would do a tour with them again when I'm back in Wellington in the future!”
“Such a beautiful shared cycling and trapping trail. And with a strong link to the Pike River disaster.”
“Wonderful story of Arboretums history. Lovely walk around - about 2 hrs with kids. Plenty art installations to see. Lovely Cafe with cake & ice cream. There's also Ruru Retreat - a cottage on site you can book through booking .com ( recommended).”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a great time at Confinement Escape Room! We did the Haunted House room and it was such a fun and exciting experience. A special shout-out to Luca — he was absolutely amazing! He was so kind, welcoming, and lovely, which made the whole experience even better. I’d highly recommend this escape room to anyone looking for a fun challenge — we’ll definitely be back!”
“It is with a heavy heart that we learned of Cornerstone Alpaca Stud’s upcoming closure next month. From Singapore, we extend our deepest gratitude for the unforgettable experience and warm hospitality we received during our visit. The story of how Dave and Sonja transformed a simple piece of land into a haven for alpacas & llamas, guided by their faith and the Almighty’s vision, is truly inspiring and a testament to their dedication. Our time at Cornerstone was nothing short of magical. Interacting with the friendly, and occasionally shy, alpacas and llamas was a joy that warmed our hearts especially the little one. A special shout-out to Sam and (I believe) Gunther—please forgive me if I’ve gotten the name wrong—Their enthusiasm for educating us of these friendly alpacas made our visit truly memorable. The Cornerstone Kitchen was not open but thanks for the lovely recommendation to try Woodlands Estate which is a few minutes away. We also loved browsing the Alpaca Shop, where the hand-felted scarves and other alpaca products showcased the care and artistry behind this unique farm. Thank you, Cornerstone Alpaca Stud, for creating such a beautiful space and sharing it with the world. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who visited. We wish Dave, Sonja, and the entire team all the best in their future endeavors. Hope the beautiful alpacas, llamas are in good hands. Please visit Cornerstone if you want to be a shepherd to the friendly alpacas.”
“The staff was very friendly and warm. She is knowledgeable about the vicinity (beyond te aroha) too which is a bonus. She gave us a few maps and we are good to go!”
“We had such a great day on this from our ship. Yosh was so interesting on local bird life etc. We had a good visit to the albatross centre. Saw chicks and also albatross. Nice picnic lunch on the hoof, and off to seals and penguins. We may also have been lucky as we also saw at least 5 albatrosses out on the sea. Spectacular scenery, superb guide, a bit lucky with the weather. Nice quick spin round Dunedin, including the station and steepest road in the world. Probably my wife’s best day of our holiday, definitely the best of our cruise. Many many thanks.”
“My family and I loved this farm. The animals and the tractor ride. The best part was the peacock. So beautiful and fun feeding the lamas. Absolutely coming back again!”
“We had a wonderful time at this free farm, which offers a large and open space perfect for families. The weather was beautiful when we visited around noon, and our two kids couldn’t have been happier. They enjoyed running around and exploring the farm, and seeing the newborn lambs was a special treat—they were absolutely adorable! The farm is well-maintained and provides a relaxing, fun atmosphere for both kids and adults. It’s a fantastic spot for a family outing, especially on a sunny day!”
“Over looking the Huia bay, this picturesque lookout offers a breathtaking sight of the backwaters in the Waitakere region. A short yet lovely escape place from the city. Ideal to visit in the evenings with friends and family , right before sunset. Visiting this place is totally free of cost with ample parking space available. For groups visiting with toddlers and children below age of 10, it’s better to be careful and monitor while walking towards the viewing deck thought the railings are quite high.”
“Dhawal was really great helping me book a complicated multi stop trip. I was struggling to get this booked on my own so I walked into House of Travel and he went through all the details with me to ensure I was happy, then promptly sent an email with multiple booking options. I am very happy with the service and the price of the flights. Thanks so much Dhawal for all your help so far.”
“Travel Corner has been absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful every time we book flights. Lakmini who works there is always available when I call and provides excellent support, even for last-minute and emergency travel. She consistently finds us the best prices in the market and makes the whole booking process smooth and stress-free. Her dedication, reliability, and friendly service truly stand out. Highly recommended — thank you, Lakmini, and the team at Travel Corner”
“Beautiful house with an interesting history, amazing rooms all wonderfully restored and with fantastic NZ art and furniture. “"We're off on an adventure!" BEST HOBBITON TOUR PACKAGE. Worth every penny! You're lucky if you get Rachel as your coach driver and tour guide. She's very knowledgeable of NZ history and facts. She kept us entertained and informed for the whole trip (a 2-hr ride) towards The Hobbiton Movie set. Her humor and jokes are topnotch, made us laugh quietly throughout the trip. She took care of us well and gave us the best way to enjoy our Hobbiton tour. Tiberius, our Hobbiton tour guide is well informed as well of the movie franchise especially everything about Hobbiton! He gave us enough time to take pictures and roam around. LOTR and the Hobbit Puns and humour, hands-down Ti, we give you 5-Stars! Just coz we dig it! >”
“This is my regular. The best cafe in town. Food is so flavourful, coffee is divine, yarns with the staff are a highlight.”
“A very small little model railroad tucked up in the hills. Nice for Kids to see how steam engines work, even if they are 1/100 scale. Amazingly a one horsepower steam engine can pull a bunch of carriages with some very large people of size on them.”
“Russian bakery!! Honey cake is blowing my mind…. Light and not as sweet as I thought… Pistachio cake is the one you have to try!! It’s basically dacquoise with crunchy pistachios instead of almond, cream filling.… I have tried chicken liver pie, it also delicious. Nice combination with liver and veg, well seasoned. In general everything is above my expectations. I will definitely come back soon for other choices of pie!!”
“Great playground for small and older kids alike. There are several challenging (but safe) features for my 12 year old, and giant slides (think 30-40 meters high) for my 8 year old. Great way to burn off energy. Be aware that the picnic tables have splinters!”
“Tiff was a great consultant to deal with. She gave us lots of helpful suggestions as we are a large family traveling. Would highly recommend Tiff for her knowledge and expertise.”
“It's was a pleasure to work with Kim and the team. They made the start and finish to my brother's and my motorcycle vacation absolutely wonderful. They represented the country of New Zealand well. Although we have check this activity off the proverbial "Bucket-List", they have made us consider returning to expound on the great experience. The bikes were modern, stylish and high performance with the proper comfort for our ages (61+). If you're plan is to rent motorcycles in New Zealand, then South Pacific Motorcycle Tours is the only sensible path for the highest probability of success (I didn't mention that we are Mechanical Engineers). Only recommendation versus strong recommendation. Thanks again Kim for the pickup and drop-off.”
