“We set off for our Albatross, Wildlife, and Harbour Cruise in the pouring rain. But while our clothes were dampened, our spirits were not!! From the time we turned the corner out of Back Beach, we saw terns, shags, and a variety of gulls. Then within a few minutes there were New Zealand fur seal pups and adults. The day was completed with up close experiences with blue penguins and three species of albatross. Captain Rachel is top notch. She maintains a tidy, comfortable boat, and is not afraid to burn some fuel to ensure that her passengers had a fantastic day! We went much further out into the beautiful Pacific than expected. And it was SO worth it!! Highly recommend if you're in Port Chalmers. Our booking was well within the time parameters of our Holland America cruise port stop.”

“We had a really nice tour on the Ortago Loop including the Port to Port Ferry with Rachel. During the tour we got an explanation of things we passed by and their history. I had some problems booking online, and also made a mistake with the date, but Rachel fixed everything for us and including renting of bikes.”

“Great service. Hiring process was easy and communication was excellent. The initial car we hired was a bit too small for our needs, and Pegasus were able to sort out an alternative in Dunedin. “Nice place to wander around looking at the lambs and the flowers. The only downside is the people who can't or won't follow the signs and therefore pick the flowers or drive down the area of twin oaks drive which is now closed off so that it can be used as a walking path. IDIOTS !”

“Absolutely brilliant! Highly recommend the coastal track if you’re up for a challenging hike! We got the 9:30 ferry over to Rangitoto and the 2:30 ferry back, but it was rushed. Would have instead booked the 3:30 ferry back to give time to go for a swim in beautiful water too!”

“Fantastic experience for locals and tourists alike. The pricing is very fair considering what’s involved. You’re given a fair choice of courses to partake in to suit all ages. The courses are various, which keeps it interesting no matter your skill level or confidence with heights. At heights varying from 1 to 10 metres, you’ll have to go through tunnels, across beams, weave in between posts or even just walk the tightrope with nothing but a cable to keep your balance. Highly recommend the day out.”

“The first thing I want to say is how lucky I was to make the right decision. My son is three years old, and before that I visited a lot of places and did a lot of research. I knew a little bit about the environment before I came here and courses are great. I didn't expect too much for the teachers to be so friendly and responsible. For me, the feelings and experiences of children are more important than anything else. Because my son has not attended any day care before, his native language is not English, and his grandmother often takes care of him went back home for a period of time, which makes me worried about whether he will adapt to the new environment. All teachers, the front desk staff and the centre manager all understood my concerns and cooperated with each other to help my son to adapt faster and better. After two weeks transiting,my son is happy to stay and not crying after we drop him off. I am really grateful to the teachers there and this is the most responsible place I have encountered. They will understand the parents' thoughts and concerns, and work together, everything is for the sake of the child. Hope my son will have a wonderful journey in kakapo creek.”

“Cornwall Park looks absolutely stunning during cherry blossom season! The trees are full of delicate pink blooms, and it’s such a peaceful, scenic place to walk around or take photos. However, it can get very crowded on weekends with lots of people doing photoshoots. I’d suggest visiting on a weekday or early morning if you want a quieter experience and better photos. Definitely worth the visit!”

It’s a paradise for bird lovers or photographers. This is a perfect for capturing the West Coast sunset!”

“I went to South Africa for 4 weeks in 2015 with IWH to the South Africa Dream Horse Adventure Project. I have travelled to over 40 countries since then, but it is still my favourite place I have ever visited. I had always dreamed of going to Africa, and to ride horses on safari, but I had no idea how to make that happen. When I found IWH online, it was literally like my dream came true. Vicki and Shelby made everything so easy. They were always so available and helpful. The fact that they were both massive horse lovers, who had visited the project was such an added bonus, because they could answer all my (many) questions and share their experiences. And they seemed so genuinely excited for me. This was my first ever solo trip overseas, but I felt so safe and well looked after every step of the way.
