Lovely experience - for me, more for the environment than the sculptures - but surprises along the way. Big bonus, cafe heats food properly ie: not in a microwave. Spoke to the lovely couple who began it all and now volunteer there. 10 out of 10 from me.

This quirky hidden gem is awesome! Definitely worth a side-quest! So many different plants and installations. The giant succulents garden and frog pond were my favorite. The uru treasure hunt was a great way to get you looking for little details along the walk that you might otherwise miss. We could only find 12/15 (and we were trying hard!).

We started our visit with an enjoyable lunch at the café. The winding paths interspersed with the sculptures made for an interesting & entertaining walk. The singing frogs & flowering waterlillies in the quarry created a multisensory experience, along with the startled look from the lady in the lake. From the ladies at the kiosk and café to the tree surgeon, all staff were friendly and welcoming. An afternoon well spent.

Wonderful story of Arboretums history. Lovely walk around - about 2 hrs with kids. Plenty art installations to see. Lovely Cafe with cake & ice cream. There's also Ruru Retreat - a cottage on site you can book through booking .com ( recommended).

What a wonderful vision!.. what an amazing amount of work too transform a quarry into paradise that is still a work in progress with many more plantings to please into the future.. I love the place for its vision.. a barren industrial moonscape into a lush green growing organism.. if only we all had just a little of this in us!

Lovely walking paths and extremely beautiful sculptures around the whole walk. The hunt for some of the more hidden owls around the park was very enjoyable. (Even if that was just for the kids)

The Sculpture Park is amazing. Saw some info at the Cambridge Visitor center and had time on an afternoon. We had a very friendly welcome and so much fun, wandering around. Great artwork and such a variety of plants. Great to explore the different areas. They are setting up a cafe at the lake. Such a nice location to meet and have a café. Highly recommendable.

What a lovely day! We booked a team building game with the Waitakaruru Sculpture Park which was an orienteering type course around the park. Was a lovely walk around with beautiful sculptures. Can't thank Sue and Dorothy for being so accommodating and welcoming. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend
