“We dropped in for a quick takeaway and as usual it was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. As we waited for our takeaways, a lovely staff handed us a glass of water which is an awesome gesture. We have dined in several times and we never had any negative feedback to provide. Lots on the menu to choose as well as your usual pastries and sweet desserts. Our favourite is the seafood casserole! Very rich and if given the chance, I would lick the bowl! Parking can be tricky as there are only a few on the street and several others by the side. Best to book if you do visit on the weekend or just wait as the turnover is pretty quick.”

“It was an amazing final stop on North Island, we travelled by car from Auckland. Fully equipped room incl washing and drying machine, was a bless. Fully equipped kitchen if you'd like to cook during holiday time. Breakfast has some options however there's no coffee machine or veggie options. It's really close to historical/government city part.”

No menu offered but warm gestures by the bartender with his wide knowledge and play magic to the create the tasty cocktail based on your preference. “We’ve dined in & have done take aways from this place on different occasions and both experiences were wonderful. Staff are always pleasant and welcoming! Food tastes amazing too! They accepted our special request for Nasi Lemak for a dinner order even though it’s a lunch menu item. Would definitely return again and highly recommended!”

“Enjoyed an absolutely delicious lunch with a glass of French Chardonnay at Tartines Cafe while visiting Eastbourne. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere seated in their covered courtyard on a beautiful sunny winters day. The staff were friendly and attentive. Tartines welcome dogs which was an added bonus as we had driven out to Eastbourne to take her for a walk. We also noticed they had a lovely selection of frozen takeaway meals so we popped back on our way home and bought a couple of delicious looking soups that are very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.”

“Best place in town for corn chips and dip! The queso dip is insane. I had to order some to take home with me after our meal. Frozen margaritas are my favourite also. Will be back regularly for sure!”
