Half hour before closing we were told can’t sit down as they were closing in half an hour and had to sweep. Disgraceful service. Cleaning should only be done AFTER CLOSING not during. Staff don’t care about patrons just want to go home.
pies are well above average but the coffee is fantastic, good indoor or outdoor seating and service seems to be second to none
Pies are full of real food. $10 for a plain mince but very tasty. Also got some sweet treats. Beautiful taste, spoilt for choice. Thanking Sheffield Pies for their response: Just to clarify, our items were 'rounded' up so my apologies for not specifying the correct price per item. Thank you for doing so. I hope this hasn't been taken in the wrong light but just as an aside, I should have got another pie! They were delicious.
I had the fortune of sampling the beef brisket and cheese pie and in my opinion it was better than a fairlie pie and that's very high praise. The pastry was crisp with cheese on the outside and it was chock full of tender brisket meat with a proper amount of cheese inside. Delicious and well worth the stop when passing through Oxford. Also I enjoyed the cheese roll I had with it.
Excellent service from the young staff.Very polite and knowledgeable.The fare choice was amazing and very tasty. The coffee was a little too cold for my liking,apart from that a great place to get sustainance.
So happy we stumbled upon this on our drive. First we passed the other location and didn’t stop in time so were happy to see this second location. Supreme meat pie with steak, bacon, onion and cheese was so delicious. Highly highly recommend! Friendly service and a great authentic local feel.
Sheffield Pies Oxford, A charming appearance from the outside and very well known so definitely come here for some World Famous Food! The food was very selective with lots of slices, sandwiches and of-course pies! I got a Chicken sandwich and its appearance took me off the pies, very tasty and highly recommend if you’re not feeling like a pie. The seating available was good with lots of spaces to sit. The indoor atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. The toilets were clean and overall the place was high class for a country town like Oxford. Overall, highly recommend; guaranteed great food all day every day, a great place for families and lunch dates for everyone! 5 stars.
Highly spoken of by locals a very popular place to buy pies. When I visited on a Sunday lunchtime there was one vegetarian pie left, and one vegetarian pie option in the range, just as well I wasn't visiting with a vegetarian friend. The pie was good and reasonably priced. The place was heaving and service was OK. Given this establishment is in a small town the cafe feels crowded and busy so it was difficult to get a good look at the cabinet before ordering. It would be great to expand non meat options for pies and consider vegan options. I didn't have any sweet items but they looked great. Meat eaters would definitely leave a 5 star review.
