   There used to be a significant difference in cost between Readings and Hoyts but now the cost is the same and the quality and experience is vastly different. At Hoyts we sit in clean, comfortable, recliner seating with a decent cup holder. Yesterday, we sat in damaged seating with a cup holder that wouldn't even hold a small cup. Our popcorn was stale and our choc tops were frost bitten! Hugely expensive and disappointing experience. We won't be back.

   I would recommend having staff at the ticket checks in as I went to the adult only showing ( 18 + ) as stated on the website. Of Zootopia 2 yet two families with very clearly young kids came in to showing. It kinda ruins the purpose of calling it an adult only showing when Young kids are allowed to be there. If I knew I wasn't technically going to a adult only showing then I could've saved my money and got a cheaper showing.

   The tickets are reasonably priced and scanning my qr code in my email on the self kiosk was easy to print my ticket out. But even though we were in the 1st session at 9:45 the theatre seats were very worn and had popcorn and old movie tickets in them. It was also very cold. Need to wear a jacket or bring a blanket next time.

   The theatre itself was fine. However, the staff let a woman and three children under four in to watch the Jurassic Park movie which finished at 10pm. The kids cried for the first 20 minutes. They were sitting the front row. We were sitting in the back row. We could very clearly hear everything. I went out to complain. The staff said it is policy to give a warning first. So I was told to come back out and complain again in 20 minutes if the kids were still crying. They cried for another half hour with 5 minute gaps. Then someone else went out and complained. So basically the first hour of the movie was ruined. I had bought four tickets. I had wanted to have something relaxing and enjoyable. This was not it.

   We just went here recently for Barbie and the seats were comfortable and nice to be able to adjust with the foot rest and leaning back. And it was great to have allocated seating. Just keep in mind there's not a ton of options for snacking (popcorn obviously, and some lollies), so if you're picky, maybe eat before you go.

   My favorite cinema in Christchurch. Titan luxe is a great experience - sound is amazing, the seats are comfortable, and the food meets expectations. Can't wait to go here again.

   I booked a week ago. My money was taken..no tickets were attached to that $93.00. I had to scramble about to not let down the kids I had promised to take. A week later, money not returned to acc and can't even leave message..so frustrating..where is my $93???
