Sophie, the vet nurse, was very helpful from the beginning when I called to make an appointment, to help contact the original owner and follow through. It’s a long story but I really appreciate Sophie’s help and time. She has demonstrated how much they care about animals from these small details. I would say this level of care is hardly found in other clinics. Thank you again.”

“I really was so impressed and thankful for the service at this vet clinic this morning. Our cat had an injury, and despite not having an appointment, they slotted him right in and did an assessment and treatment right away. It was really quick but thorough service, their team was so friendly and helpful and our cat was home within about 2 hours of us realising he was hurt. “Great food and great people. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the multiple times I have been here the food was never meh. Always a great quality and taste and I like that they regularly vary the menu slightly. Our go to place in Rolly! The atmosphere is elevated pub-restaurant. A few interior design changes and lighting changes to break up the wide open room a bit, could make it feel a bit more cozy. It is still a great atmosphere and feel good restaurant.”

“I had the pleasure of staying a night here and was very impressed with the overall stay. Our Unit was immaculately clean, contained everything you need and more. It was very quiet, handy to everything and our hosts were some of the nicest people I've met. They were very welcoming helpful and informative. Definitely somewhere I'd stay again.”

“I highly recommend Roomie! We stayed in February 2025. We are from Ireland, and we used Roomie as a base when travelling around NZ . We had all the security of a hotel and all the freedom of an apartment. The beds were comfortable and the apartments were very comfortable and clean.The water pressure in the shower was great . We had lovely showers there. The staff were wonderful, every time you went to the desk you knew you would get help with a smile. I can't complement them enough. The communication via email before our stay was prompt and helpful. We had connections to Avondale so it was an ideal location for us but if you don't have any connections to Avondale, it is still a great location as the train is across the road from the apartment hotel. You can get the train to New Lynn and there is a mall there with a big supermarket or to Mt Albert to Pak N' Save a cheaper supermarket. It also goes to Britomart, where you can get to the viaduct in central Auckland. There is also a shop around the corner if you need some essentials. Try to book direct as you get some extra perks like free laundry and early check-in than if you use a 3rd party website.”

“We booked 3 studio rooms for Hot wheels monster trucks event. Rooms are lovely, warm, comfy and clean. All very well, we hope for this as standard. AEPM told standard to hold their beer and boot it. Courtesy call day before event re: early road closures as we were traveling up to AK. Checked us in and allowed us parking from 11am. Warm and informative welcome with the gate to Eden park laughably close. I haven't even left yet and I'm side eyeing the experience as narniac in its unassuming, hidden gem state. Will be back without doubt.”

“This is our now 'go to' for a takeaway since the closure of our previous favourite in Timaru. The choices and quality of food is excellent and staff are pleasant and friendly. Certainly worth our 25 km trip for that night off from cooking and all those special occasions when you treat the family.”

“This motel is one of the top three motel rooms I've ever stayed in and I'm nearly 50 years of age...that's in Australia and here...certainly the best one we stayed at on our trip in New Zealand. The mattress has actually fixed my back from the previous motel rooms that we stayed in elsewhere on our trip. We got the top of the line room and it was so worth it... had everything and really spacious. The television has a normal remote control as well making it easy to use. The help and availability from the manager was really comforting as well...so friendly. Put a smile on the dial of my dearest and made for a great evening for the both of us. Only 200 metres from the only pub in town too...5 stars.”

“What a fabulous wee place. I came to Dunedin for study and stayed here for three nights. The room was a great size and really well set out. The shower was AMAZING, possibly best I have ever had!! The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom had a heated floor which was nice. The unit was lovely and warm. Parking was available. Nightly rates were good. The place was just wonderful. I would definitely stay again.”
