“Peter and Tessa are exceptional moteliers, they go out of their way to accommodate the needs of their guests. They were prompt and reliable with airport pick-ups and were also very obliging with dropping us off at a family event. The motel rooms were large, light and airy, and very well equipped. We appreciated the space of the one bedroom unit. The gardens are immaculate and very colourful. We’ll be back!”

Set right next to the forested gully it’s a very peaceful place to stay. Very close to town and the Ahuriri side of the hill too. Highly recommend staying here as Kitty is a great host and the room is splendid”

    Animal Medical Centre

    ★★★★★ 4.9 (189 Reviews) Top rated Closed

“On Monday 22 September 2025, the team at the Animal Medical Centre worked for over 3 hours to remove LFC - liquid filling concrete - from the paws and other places of my cat Morgan La Fay. When Morgan got home and had recovered from sedation, she was completely back to normal. How Morgan came to walk through LFC is a long story which I will not recount. I do need to say 2 things, though, to make clear what a miracle the team achieved. The first is that, by the time I got her to the vet on Monday afternoon, the LFC had been on her paws and other places for 24 hours. She sounded like a ballet dancer en pointe when she walked around and kept hitting her ear with her back paw when trying to scratch it. The second is that Morgan is a cat with a very definite list of "nots" - do not walk towards me, do not pick me up, do not put me in a cage, do not leave me with strangers, do not touch my paws ... and on it goes. I knew she would have to be in a crush cage and I knew that even crush cages have their limits. The AMC team got all the hard-baked concrete off Morgan and left her with no ill-effects. That truly was a magnificent piece of work. I cannot speak highly enough of their ingenuity, patience, dedication, and veterinary knowledge and I am deeply grateful to them all. Thank you again to everyone who helped.”

“We took our furry baby in to this vet. He is a 56.5 kg massive Rottweiler, who doesn’t trust Veterans. He came with us from overseas and the procedure to be here in NZ was so hard and stressful for him. They treated him very well. They took care of him just like a normal friendly dog. They were not afraid of him and he got very professional treatment. We will be back because he has ears infection but now I am happy to work together with a professional doctors and nurses. I highly recommend this place if your pets not just a pet, but family members. The place is tidy and clean.”

“This little gem of a restaurant truly lives up to its high Google rating. As a connoisseur of Indian food, I was impressed by the quality of the dishes. The samosa entrée was superb, and the chef accommodated our request for a combination prawn and chicken madras, making it perfect for sharing and easy on the wallet and waistline. The meal was complemented by a delicious garlic naan and friendly service. This restaurant is a valuable asset to the Raglan hospitality scene. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.”

“After a 9 hour flight and a night stay in Auckland, we were pleasantly surprised at our accommodations at Sumner Re Treat. We were greeted by Chris and she escorted us to our room. It was not only spotless, but very attractively decorated. Our accommodations came with all the necessary amenities, the decor was contemporary, and the location was excellent. There were numerous eateries within walking distance. Best of all, it was a short walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend Sumner Retreat if you plan on visiting Christchurch and want to get away from the City Centre.”

    The Better Sleep Clinic

    ★★★★★ 5 (55 Reviews) Top rated Closed

“I worked with Staf for sleep therapy and it has genuinely changed my life. I had severe insomnia for about a year, with years of on and off problems before that. I felt constantly tired, anxious about sleep, and stuck in a place where my personal and professional goals felt out of reach because I was so fatigued and consumed by my insomnia. I was in a state of despair. Working with Staf changed everything. The tools I learned in therapy were practical and grounded in the science of sleep. That information is not always easy to find, and a lot of mainstream advice is not tailored to people with insomnia. It becomes challenging to fix insomnia on your own if you do not fully understand how sleep actually works. That is why working with a trained therapist is so important, especially if you have been struggling for a long time. What I learned in sleep therapy finally made sense, and it helped my sleep improve significantly. Honestly, the therapy works and I would highly encourage it. My anxiety around sleep has eased, and my nights feel normal again. As my sleep improved, so did every part of my life. I managed to achieve all my personal and professional goals while going through sleep therapy. I feel healthier, more focused, excited about life and no longer controlled by my sleep issues. I am deeply grateful for the support I received. If you are considering sleep therapy, I highly encourage you to go for it. It gave me my life back.”
