   We booked our stay here as we were trying to get through the floods of Canterbury and it was a last minute booking after hearing on the radio to stay away from the centre of Chch. Had never been to Sumner so thought let's give it a go and luckily Chris had this available. After 6 hours of driving through floods and rain, it was so calming and peaceful to walk into Sumner Re Treat - so aptly named

   We recently spent 2 days at the Sumner Re Treat Luxury Apartments and a luxury apartment it is. We had a most enjoyable stay. There is a rooftop jacuzzi and pool (the pool was closed for winter). The apartment is well appointed in every way and the only criticism we had was the bedding linen needs to be updated including pillows. Other luxurious apartments have quality white linen. Other than that, we would highly recommend it.

   This property is a very nice large apartment within walking distance of Sumner beach. There is also a small swimming pool and spa on the roof. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to have stayed longer. This will definitely be our go to if we come back again. Thanks Chris for all your help!

   We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this luxurious apartment. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very spacious and tastefully decorated. It's well equipped and have extras such as air-conditioning and light sensors. The rooftop pool and spa was great .

   Lovely place to stay. I stayed in the studio apartment, much bigger than I expected, full kitchen, highly recommend it for one or two, had everything. Warm, clean, modern, very comfy bed and great views from the spa pool on the roof. Will definitely stay again.

   We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the apartment was perfect for our needs. Great location, lots of restaurants within walking distance. Hot tub on the roof was wonderful after a days cycling. Having a washing machine was great for those like us that were half way through a trip around New Zealand.

   After a 9 hour flight and a night stay in Auckland, we were pleasantly surprised at our accommodations at Sumner Re Treat. We were greeted by Chris and she escorted us to our room. It was not only spotless, but very attractively decorated. Our accommodations came with all the necessary amenities, the decor was contemporary, and the location was excellent. There were numerous eateries within walking distance. Best of all, it was a short walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend Sumner Retreat if you plan on visiting Christchurch and want to get away from the City Centre.

   Our family of three loved our stay. It was the perfect place to start our New Zealand trip. Chris was lovely and helpful, the apartment squeaky clean, comfortable and all the amenities modern. The beach is only a few minutes walk away and the local shops as well. I strongly recommend staying at Sumner Re Treat.
