This is the absolute best hotel I have stayed in for Wellington. Very clean, modern, quiet (double glazed!), comfy beds, and friendly helpful staff. Good for sustainability (in room recycling bin). Great location. Rates miles above anything else we have stayed in for the Wellington area and all at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!!
I’ve stayed at Quest 256 Lambton many times over the past years, and it’s always a great experience. The rooms are consistently clean, fresh, and tastefully designed. The location is super convenient — walking distance to major landmarks, with grocery stores, a pharmacy, and shopping literally right downstairs. The staff are always professional and pleasant to deal with. I’ve stayed at almost all the Quest properties in NZ, and this is definitely one of the best!
Great spot, very clean and modern. Only thing is the beds are rock hard, couldn't fault anything else, but we like a firm mattress, not a rock... Good little kitchenette, pristine bathroom and even a washer/ dryer in the cupboard. Very convenient location, walkable to everywhere.
Have stayed here a lot when working in the city. Bus stops right outside. Close to restaurants. Everything you need in the rooms; various toiletries, coffee pod machine, toaster, electric elements, microwave, washer/dryer. Great place to stay if your flight has been cancelled as everything is in the rooms. Have stayed in different rooms and even the street facing side is quiet. Can't fault this hotel.
This was the nicest hotel from our holiday in NZ. From the moment we stepped in the door, service was excellent. Having a laundry machine in the room was a huge bonus to refresh our suitcase. Location was wonderful; we only walked a few minutes to get anywhere. Highly recommended hotel in Wellington!
Wow. This place is EXCELLENT! I didn't use the kitchenette but it was well stocked and even had salt and pepper grinders! Love that. Bed was wonderful and comfortable, and the heating/cooling worked so well. Can't wait to come back again!
Quest 256 is a fantastic hotel located in the city centre of Wellington. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly and the rooms are perfect for a short or long-stay! They are a great size and come fully equipped with everything that you need for your stay - including a washer/dryer! I will certainly be making this my hotel of choice when staying in Wellington.
Amazing stay. What a location smack bang in the middle of Lambton Quay but still nice and quiet in the room. My room was lovely and well appointed, great coffee station and bathroom amenities. And the staff were fantastic; special shout out to Claudia who made me feel very welcome and was super accommodating. Hopefully I get the chance to come back soon!
Fantastic place to stay, great location with the airport bus stopping right outside, supermarkets, cafes and shops nearby. The staff are exceptional, everyone we came across was friendly and helpful. The rooms are new, extremely well equipped with full kitchenette, laundry, the TV system is great. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and seemed like exceptional value.
Very nice room and incredibly clean and well kept, as you would expect from Quest. No on-site parking, parking garage on the street behind offered (at a price) but requires a couple of flights of stairs to get to/from the hotel which isn’t great if you have a bit of luggage. Was suggested to use the loading zone out the front but there was no room, city workers and taxis all sitting there. Not so much the hotels problem, but would definitely be nice to have an easier trip with luggage. Room itself is perfect though, and in a great spot right near the cable car. Would definitely stay again.
