   Good service, attentive staff BUT OVERPRICED! The consultation and vaccinations pricing are much above average across Hamilton and even in Auckland. For example, I've paid $293 for the booster vaccination of my cat ($123) and dog ($170). After that I googled how much the same service costs in Hamilton and found that if I did the same vaccines at Pets @ Wintec Animal Care Services (for instance), I would pay $135 ($45 cat and two vaccines for a dog $90). The difference is $158 NZD!!! It would be good to have the price list posted on the Newstead Vet website, but there is nothing about it unfortunately, so ask them before making an appointment about pricing not to be a disappointed unpleasant surprise.

   These guys really care about you and your pets. We take our dog and cat here, both have had surgery and they looked after them both during and after so well. They don't push for "add on" sales either as they are independent.
