   Our stay at this property was nothing short of amazing—it was even better in person than what the pictures showed. The views of the water were absolutely stunning and the grounds were gorgeous and meticulously kept. The guest house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt like so much care had been put into every detail. The breakfast provisions were such a nice touch—everything from milk, coffee, eggs, and juice to yogurt, bread, fresh fruit, ham, cheese, and vegetables and herbs from their garden. The hosts, Brett and Veronica, were so warm and welcoming, and the overall feel of the place was so calm and serene. Sitting on the deck and hearing the sound of the sea was a highlight—it’s the kind of place where you can truly relax. We loved every minute and wouldn’t hesitate to come back on our next trip to Waiheke. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful escape.

   Brett and Veronica were amazing hosts and our stay was truly 5 stars. The views of the vineyard are beautiful, there is a short hike to the beach, and they have a cute dog who hung out with us for a bit. Veronica also took us into town for a yoga class one of the mornings!

   Our stay at La Bodega was nothing short of wonderful! Brett and Veronica are the most hospitable hosts and they made us wish our short stay here was longer! The photos you see on Google is reflective of what you’d get if you stay at La Bodega. Inside, it exceeded my expectations. The house was very clean and tidy, and no lack of amenities. In fact, Veronica prepared a good set of fridge supplies (fruits, yoghurt, milk, eggs etc) that we didn’t manage to finish in the end! Brett recommended places to visit, and restaurants that served amazing food. If you’re staying here (or coming to Waiheke island anyway), do rent a car at the ferry terminal. Taxis are REALLY expensive on the island and having a car just makes it so much easier to get around as well.

   Veronica and Brett were the perfect hosts. Everything was right. The breakfasts were fabulous and the conversations around the breakfast table were a lot of fun.    Absolutely loved my experience at La Bodega… I didn’t want to leave! Brett and Veronica were extremely warm, welcoming and helpful. They made a beautiful breakfast for me each morning and offered tips of places to go on the island. The scenery / peaceful environment at La Bodega was unmatched, I will be back!

   La Bodega is a labour of love which has provided the traveller and explorer to Waiheke Island an oasis of luxury and warmth. My wife and I just spent our wedding anniversary with Brett and Veronica who are a beautiful couple. The accommodation is spectacular as are the views. Their knowledge of the island is invaluable and their generosity in ferry pick-ups and drop-offs goes above and beyond. We loved our stay and look forward to seeing you both again soon. Thanks guys!

   We had such a wonderful time at La Bodega and ended up extending our stay. Brett and Veronica are amazing hosts - excellent chefs, helpful with all practicalities, know all the best spots on the island - but maybe most importantly, they're very warm and welcoming. Needless to say, the house and surroundings are beautiful. We'll be back!
