“Chopsticks Restaurant is amazing, especially their lou sang and peng cai! The lou sang is super fresh, packed with flavour, and perfect for sharing—it’s seriously one of the best I’ve had. The peng cai is just as great, full of premium ingredients and so rich in taste. The food is top-notch, the vibe is chilled, and the service is on point. Highly recommend!”

“I had high tea. The tea itself was fantastic. The pastries and sandwiches were excellent. The staff was very attentive, maybe even over so in the beginning. And then it was hard to find someone when it was time to pay the bill. My one suggestion is that there's no way to take your tea bag out of the pot. Nothing to take it out with and no place to put it. And I don't always like my tea really strong, depending on what type of tea I get. They would also elevate the experience if they had some type of table cover.”

“Unfortunately, there wasn't time to take photos, but if you have time, stop by and try their dishes. They are great tasting, portion size, and quality/price ratio. If it's Saturday night, you might have to wait 15/20 minutes, but it's worth it! They also have highchairs and baskets with toys (which was very useful for our little one).”

“I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Styx & Stone. From start to finish, everything was impeccable. For my main course, I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana — and it was delightful. Perfectly cooked, tender chicken breast, coated in a crisp, golden crumb, smothered in rich, tangy tomato sauce, and topped with beautifully melted cheese. Every bite was pure comfort and flavor. For dessert, I couldn’t resist the affogato — and it did not disappoint. The balance of smooth, creamy vanilla ice cream and bold, aromatic espresso was heavenly. It’s the kind of simple yet luxurious treat that ends a meal on the perfect note. To accompany it all, I had an iced latte which was perfectly balanced: strong, smooth coffee with just the right touch of milk — refreshing and satisfying. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy yet modern. Highly recommend Styx & Stone for anyone looking for an effortlessly enjoyable dining experience. “Oh my, Lazeez is incredible! The two guys that work at the Marshlands store are so lovely and put so much effort and love into the food they make. The hot salads are dangerously good and the meat on chips are always so crispy. The best part is the flavour of the meats, keeps me coming back at least once a week. Plus how can you not want to go back when they make an effort to learn your order :) Thank you!!”

“The team here support the local LEGO group, if you're after LEGO, look no further. On multiple occasions I have contacted them to express interest in yet to be released sets. They have taken down my contact details, set the item aside when stock came in, then called me back to let me know it's ready. Kudos to whatever system to they're using to keep track of these requests, as sometimes the products haven't reached NZ until months after my initial contact. To top it all off they even ensure you get your desired minifig in the blind bags. The prices can be a little higher than the likes of Kmart or The Warehouse, but it's worth it.”

“Always a pleasure to dine at Lone Star, the Redneck ribs is always a favourite. My son loves to order it all the time. Staff are hospitable, smiling, lovely customer service. In between 3 weeks of dining, the menu has changed and the slaw is additional $5 to your meal. Regardless of, I still enjoy my meal without the slaw, as the first round of dining it has no flavour at all.”

“My friend and I visited this cocktail bar when we were in Christchurch a few weeks ago, and had a great time. We came here because I found this place online while we were planning and said I really wanted to go. It was hard to pick what to order because everything on the menu sounded fantastic. We're both fans of interesting signature drinks at cocktail bars, and this bar had heaps of them. I had the Merchant's Mark and my friend had the Shaitan's Favour and both drinks were fantastic. I'd recommend them both. Even though the place got a bit busy, the bartender was friendly and approachable without being invasive or intrusive. We sat right at the bar and really enjoyed watching the bartender at work, because it was clear he was extremely skilled at his job. We had a great chat with him about different spirits and liqueurs as well.”
