“Saturdays Cafe is a hidden gem! Tucked away by He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools, it's New Brighton's best kept secret! A matcha lovers dream. I had the Iced Strawberry Matcha and Matcha French Toast. Both had very good, strong matcha flavours in them. The French Toast had dollops of matcha cream cheese, chocolate, and caramel sauces, making it a very sweet treat. Yum! The cutest little cafe. Beautiful views of the New Brighton Pier. I absolutely love the decor. Staff were so lovely and provided a warm atmosphere.”

“The pizza is expensive but very very delicious, especially the buffalo chicken pizza! The store doesn’t have a lot of seating but there’s normally always at least one seat free. The workers are friendly and overall the store has a very nice vibe to it!”

“Ordered a Sir George and a Vege Supreme pizza . Staff were friendly and accommodating. Pizzas were ready within 10 minutes on a Friday night. Got it to takeaway as I find the atmosphere to be crowded with everyone else in there little high eatery . Pizzas are great with a perfect base and that authentic wood fired taste . Flavours on pizza are perfect. Can highly recommend getting the crust dipping sauces to accompany the pizza either by dipping the crust or putting directly onto the pizza . Highly recommend going along and trying .”

“Had the most amazing 21st Birthday dinner here. We come here all the time for dinner but the service tonight was absolutely amazing! Daragh was the lovely gentleman that took care of us most of the night, he had wonderful service and such a warm presence which made it way more enjoyable! And we had Ayung taking care of us the rest of the night and she was amazing on checking up on us and making sure we were happy all the way up to the end. “We recently dined at Mumbaiwala in Christchurch and had a fantastic experience. We ordered the Mumbai Chicken, the Lamb Chef's Special of the Day, Kadai Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and fresh naan. Everything was full of flavour, especially the Mumbai Chicken and Kadai Chicken – both had just the right balance of spice and richness. The Lamb Chef’s Special was beautifully cooked and tender. The naan was soft and perfect for soaking up the sauces. The only slight letdown was the Chicken Biryani – it was decent but didn’t quite stand out compared to the other dishes. Service was friendly and prompt, and the ambiance was vibrant and inviting. Definitely a great place for authentic Indian food in the heart of Christchurch. Looking forward to our next visit!”

The prices were a bit much for me at first glance, as I often run on tight budget. Most of the time I will argue that expensive food is not worth it past a certain price point, but that argument failed here. The food arrived within 10 min of ordering and was absolutely stunning visually. We ordered the Pad Thai and a beef dish with a red curry sauce (I can't remember the name) that the waitress recommended. The Pad Thai was delicious, but the beef dish stole the show. The meat was tender, full of flavor, and the sauce it was bathed in was delectable. Portion sizes were large. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly and attentive for New Zealand standards. The evening atmosphere would make this restaurant a great spot for a date, or a nice dinner with friends and family. If you are looking for a nice dinner spot with bold flavors in Christchurch, this is the place!”

“Absolutely love this place. We have had it +5 times and it never fails! The Pad Thai is so delicious and full of flavour, also has decent veges! The green curry is devine! We love the vegetarian wontons too. There is always a lovely man on the phone when you confirm your online order. Portion sizes are excellent too.”

“Very enjoyable dining experience, came here 30th November for dinner, was pretty quiet when we got there got a little busier an hour later but the service was amazing from Sage. I appreciate the food and helping us decide excellent food, I got one of the steaks.”
