    What a surprise to find this 'local' pub such a great night out. Friendly crowd, energetic/happy bar staff. As a group of friends we enjoyed placing a few bets on horse races while enjoying a few beers/wine. Ended up staying on for a pizza meal. Worth trying their 'waffle fries'! A nice double sided gas fire created a warm cosy atmosphere. Several bars to choose from depending on what you are in the mood for. Cards were being played at some tables. Loved the very interesting historical photos displayed all around the pub. Outdoor areas were heated & sheltered. I noticed an advert for live music Friday nights so we will return.
