The Rose & Shamrock has proper Irish charm—cosy, welcoming, and full of character. The pub grub is spot on, with generous portions that’ll leave you stuffed. Good hearty meals, tasty as. The atmosphere is laid-back, a real local gem. Great spot for a pint and a feed. If you're after a solid pub meal with good vibes, this is the place.
We met my son-in-law's old friend at the Rose & Shamrock Village Inn. The dark wood and gleaming bar gave it a classic Irish pub feel. The air was filled with the smell of fried food and beer. We ordered fish and chips – the batter was crispy, the fries were perfect, and my Murphy's stout was a great pairing. The food was simple, delicious, and ideal for the lively atmosphere.
Amazing friendly service, calm atmosphere, delicious food every time. Would recommend 100% Do nice burgers, schnitzel, and delicious crumbed chicken cutlets with apricot sauce (pictured).
Food is OK. Kitchen service is incredibly slow on quiz nights. It can take up to 2 hrs to receive even basic things like a bowl of wedges! Atmosphere is OK, but it would be much more relaxing if they didn't blast you with music from overhead when the pub is full on quiz nights. It just makes it harder to talk and detracts from the atmosphere.
The place to be on Saint Patrick's day !, a lovely atmosphere, outstanding staff, awesome mainstream selection of drinks, live music, fantastic quiz nights, rugby games televised alongside great food. The lovely staff tend to needs and service with a smile is applied here which is very welcoming and apparent. Great place to be. Highly recommend.
