“Amazing food along with amazing customer service, warm welcomes with smiles every time I come in, fast and quick with everything 10/10 would recommend!”
“I’ve always known this place was here, but ventured in for the first time recently. A wonderful selection of cheeses and meats, and other French-themed food and non-food. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. I’ll be back to try the café, which was packed at lunchtime and looked very inviting.”
“Fantastic little cafe. Great vibe, good food at an extremely reasonable price. Would recommend.”
“Really awesome cafe to have in the heart of Brooklyn, Friendly staff, great service and top it off good coffee, and the food looks amazing,”
“It takes more than 40 minutes to get the food, but it's worth it :) Bunch of sea food in the burger, so I fee like it is different menu not burger haha but very tasty and unique. Good to try for 2024 wellington on a plate.”
“Not to be dramatic but their smashed egg sammie (toasted, to go, scoffed in the car) saved my life. Highly recommended, specifically on a Sunday morning in conjunction with an oat flatty.”
“A Khandallah favorite, Dunshea’s Deli offers a more creative menu than the usual cafe’s breakfast fare. Try the Sammie with Black Pudding or the amazing cheese jalapeño scones. And the coffee is top notch. Parking can be a challenge but I’ve always found one in the end.”
“I wish all airport bars were this good! Best beer on tap in the airport and at reasonable prices that make whiling away the time a great option! United Brew Dogs covers your best craft beer options from the Wellington Region with Fortune Favours, Boneface, and Kereru, while still ensuring some solid New Zealand presentation from across the country. Quick service makes sitting and waiting for your plan that much more pleasant. A great wine list ensures all taste palettes are supported. The bar tenders can bang out your standard drinks or mix up something more top shelf depending on your mood ahead of trace. The food options are easily navigable as United Brew Dogs opts for simpler sharing style foods over full plates, making for a communal ambiance and a more welcoming atmosphere. Try their hotdogs, they’re made with the finest ingredients from sausage to the condiments dressing them. Go here for a good drink before you travel and enjoy minimising the mindless time spent on the other side of the security barrier!”
“$18.50 for a mixed Syrian Shwarma, with sauce and chips. Good value food. Will go again.”
“This bar is a hidden gem, capable of bringing out the pirate in anyone! The thrill of discovering this place was truly rewarding. The atmosphere and decor are remarkable, with artificial skulls on the wall showcasing meticulous attention to detail. Every corner offers unique seating options and ambiance, making the experience truly special. The staff is delightful and enjoyable to chat with. The "Skull Punch" drink, served with a spectacular fiery show, is a definite recommendation for the thrilling experience it provides. Exploring the various rum-based cocktails was a fun adventure. Surprisingly, the place wasn't overly busy for a Friday night, adding to the overall positive experience.”
“Always super yummy, we generally get the pork (if you're early enough sometimes extra crackle) and it's always well cooked the veges are well cooked, not mushy at all. Plus friendly staff, nice and quick service too. Well, well worth it for a nice, easy good roast for dinner.”
“Absolutely loved our dinner at Curry Pot! The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly spiced. We ordered the butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, and garlic naan — every bite was heavenly. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. It’s now our go-to Indian restaurant in town!”

“Best Seafood Laksa I've had in Wellington and in my life. It was so good that I'm jumping on google to give it a review because more people should experience this Laksa. 10/10”
“We had a very relaxing 3 course meal and drinks at field and greens. Very nice starters mains and dessert along with friendly service made for a great date night. Keep up the great work we will be back!”
“Wow the staff here are absolutely amazing! We came for the MLB game and had big screens with NFL as well. The wings were soooo great, the garlic bread was quite dry BUT had a chat with the chef who offered us replacements that were super great (chips and GF garlic bread). Made our entire experience so great. The bartender Gabe also was so amazing and made us feel very welcomed and at home.”
“Since John took over, this pub has gone from strength to strength. He's added so many features (doggy biscuits and beers, kids play area, lots of board games, weekly food trucks, weekly quizzes) that have made it not only a family friendly, local pub, but also a destination. Offering some amazing beers, wonderful staff will take you into their care and ensure you can kick back and relax. Dog friendly, kid friendly, social team friendly, it really does offer do much! Thanks for everything team, we love you!”
“Hidden gem in the heart of city, might take a while to find the entrance at the first time but totally worth taking the adventure! No menu offered but warm gestures by the bartender with his wide knowledge and play magic to the create the tasty cocktail based on your preference. Love everything here, such a great spot to enjoy a peaceful quiet time at the balcony overlooking the busy street”
“Properly poured stout, care was taken to let it settle and not be all head. Live music here was also fantastic. Great area right by the beach.”
“Amazing Malaysian food. One of the best Char Kuey Teow I've had. Had the 'wok hei' flavour. Nasi lemak with lamb pendant was amazing too. Only complain is that there sambal portion was too small. The lamb rendang was amazing”
“I ordered garlic soy meal, this flavour is very tasty, best Korean fried chicken in local”
“My partner and I love eating here. It’s our go to when we go into Wellington. My partner has eaten here for years!!”
“Great local spot for a beer and some pub grub. Good swimming for the kids too. Ripper sunsets.”
“Their food was really delicious and the price of food is cheap considering the amount of food. Came out quite soon and tasted like they used really fresh vegetables. It is located in a beautiful place, too. Could see the sunset in the restaurant.”
“The best Thai restaurant in the Wellington region...we've been coming here for nearly 5 years now and it never disappoints. Every dish is a real treat! Super friendly and attentive staff.”
“Friendliest staff around. Always a pleasure visiting this place”
“Visited the Cafe and exhibitions today. The Cafe food and coffee was top quality, and the exhibition spaces are well set out. The art works were suitably challenging, made us think and ponder, which good art should do! Highly recommend a visit.”
“Lovely store. Well laid out, spacious, good lighting, good range of products, friendly staff. We are just visiting the area for a short time so could not buy much but my daughter was pleased to find VerMints (the ginger mint flavour, which I was first introduced to by a friend in the US and they can be hard to find in NZ), coconut water, and Proper Crisps corn chips (which can be hard to find in our home town). We also got some Clipper tea advent calendars for her and her sister later this year.”
“Some much stuff in here to try! Great place.”
“It’s hard to find good coffee without the acidic aftertaste, but they get it just right here. The barista is excellent, and the coffee quality is top-notch. We’ll definitely be back!”
