“Nice little Thai restaurant on Marine Pde. Was a busy Saturday night post marathon day and while service was pretty good, would have been great with maybe one more waitress helping. Food was delicious and serving sizes are very generous. Worth a look if you're in Napier and craving good quality Thai.”
“Great customer service, awesome staff, friendly atmosphere”
“My favourite place to eat the food is always amazing! Also excellent service tonight! We got take away pick up and one of our meals was wrong. We rung up and they were very apologetic and delivered us our correct order within 20 minutes! Absolutely amazing thank you!”

“We had my son Lincoln’s birthday party there this afternoon, and the customer service was amazing! Nothing was a problem, I was anxious as it was my first time having a party there and they were so amazing and sorted everything I asked for with a smile on their face! Will forever recommend them as a party place from now on. Thanks team ☺️”
“It's got a nice garage theme, but not uncomfortably. Tyre tread on walls, giant screw driver, nice mechanic theme. It's quite unique.”
“Not sure if they have food. I just got some Japanese from across the road and ate it in the garden bar. This pub has been in the news a bit. It is what it is man. Good pokies. Tradies in bare feet drinking Steiny big bots from the bottle. Old drunks, the whole nine yards. Think Once Were Warriors, but whiter.”
“A lovely local pub meal. The pan fried blue cod was outstanding and hubby's snitzel definitely hit the spot. A calm atmosphere. Would highly recommend.”
“Heard so much about the place and finally booked a table for a 40th Bday dinner. The night manager Holly was on the ball, friendly, attentive and knew her stuff. The food was brilliant! Had the dry age steak and worth every cent. Had the fries and beetroot salad to share and easily could've added a 3rd person to devour it. Overall it was a great night-walked out very pleased and super full! Will be back!”
“Nice underground bar, big place. The food there is average but the atmosphere is good and the price is relatively attractive”
Mornington Thai delivers a Thai-inspired offering that’s straight to the point. Noodles arrive glossy and well seasoned. A sensible spend for the quality. Sides like naan and rice tie the meal together.

“Great atmosphere. Great priced drinks. Large smoking area was a huge plus.”
“The star is the classic. The good ol days of smoking indoors is what comes with this, a place of peace for smokers. A good ol’ tradition thanks to the smokers room where the smokers can enjoy a good beer and smoke without freezing in the Kihikihi cold nights. Please dont change. These things are what are going extinct”
“Really good meals. The rib special was huge, with such tender meat that it fell onto the fork. The pear, walnut and blue cheese salad was very special. The desserts were enjoyed by all.”
At Habitat on the Quay, the menu stays burger-led, served with an easygoing pace. A coastal backdrop rounds out the stop. Sides support without crowding the star. Plates offer plenty without tipping heavy.
“Saw the good reviews on me Wally phone here and thought to meself oh yeah I’ll get me a jug of lion red. I normally go in bloody ponsonby ways for a good session but onehunga was a calling. Had a whole swappacrate to meself and a punt on the pony’s, didn’t win mind. Was too drunk to drive home so I slept in me car at the countdown carpark”
“It may be small but the atmosphere is great. The staff and members are friendly. Love the food. Really enjoy Friday night karaoke.”
“We had the festive high tea and the food and service was excellent. Our server especially was delightful and very knowledgeable about the teas.”
“My partner and I recently celebrated her birthday here, and we had an absolute fantastic experience. The wait staff were delightful to deal with, and the food was delicious, while being rather different (being Asian fusion food) yet incredibly clever. The spice levels in each dish were perfectly balanced, which is one of the several reasons why I consider this worthy of 5 stars. I had the salmon entree, which was perfectly cooked and tasty salmon, with one nice dollop of beetroot reduction, and one of a lemon/citrus reduction, which paired nicely. The main was the tandoori charcoal chicken which was simply fantastic. The spice on this was outstanding, with a little bit of heat, which I found really kicked it up a notch. The charcoal chicken was perfect to me, ever so slightly crisp on the outside as you would expect, but perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside. The sauce was an excellent pairing too, as was the wasabi mashed potato, even though I am not a fan of mashed potato. The addition of the cardamon seeds was simply genius, and added a little something to it that was incredibly enjoyable. As for desert, I sadly forgot to take a photo, but it was the caremalised charred pineapple, which was also delicious. I especially enjoyed the sticky salted butter sauce on the side, which also had a small touch of cardamon to really add to the dish. It was a desert that you would never really see elsewhere as it truly embodied the fusion style, and considering how yummy it was, that's a bit of a shame! I love different and interesting deserts, and this was a prime example of that. Aside from that, the decor had a very nice 1920's feel to it, with some modern twists, to make the room cosy yet stylish. The wine selection was also really well chosen too. All in all I would very much recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting something slightly different yet special”
“Cool atmosphere! Creative cocktails served alongside classics. And friendly conversation. Bartender Maisa was a joy to visit with, and Peter brought serious commitment to his trade. If you can get in, you’ll be rewarded with a great experience. Go to Forresters Lane.”
“Went to the Cust Country Pub for dinner last night with some friends. Had a lovely time. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Nothing was a bother for them. The food was great, from the entrees to the desserts. I had the fish and chips which was served with yummy chips and a lovely green salad and was unfortunately more than I could eat ( and believe me I tried). I would recommend this pub to anyone who wants a reasonably priced good meal in a comfortable friendly atmosphere. Well done to the staff and management.”
“An absolutely brilliant experience, so laid back. It was Easter Saturday when I went. Very quiet. A lot of love has gone into the place particularly outside. Has potential to make it more of a cafe atmosphere inside, too, with cafe at the front and pub at the back. It's a good fitting name to reflect that in the past a lot of wheat was grown in the area. This area is going to really boom and become a desirable place to live and raise children.”
