   Went in yesterday looking for a venue my 50th we just moved to the area. So was checking our surroundings out. The person we meet seemed behind the Bar.was so rude I asked if he was the manager and he responded abrated YES! I was uncomfortable straight away. But asked do you cater for functions he said No! I would think he would jump at the opportunity for business. Anyway lucky excape. Don't know how he could be in this position. Made me feel worse what a Grump.

   Went in there today, Sunday 28 August, around lunchtime, to play the slot Machines. Rang the bell in the slot service area - as advised by another Paton as the way to get service , in order to break a $ 100 into $20s to play the slots A Caucasian male working there approached the service area and simply glared at me. I offered him the $100 and asked for 5 x $20 s. He served me slowly with no greeting thanking etc, just a glare. Later I had reason to call for his attention as my slot machine require a hand pay. I went into the bar area where he stood and advised him of this. He said he will serve me shortly. He came into the gaming area and I gestured with an open hand towards the machine that I was playing. He looked at me and pointing outside into the street said , oh, I thought it was the one out there’. I was a bit stunned and said nothing for a while, then repeated back to him, ‘ what do you mean by that’. He said, ‘ I know very well which machine I need to attend to as I get an indication where the payout is required’ He then said, ‘ don’t treat me like I’m stupid by pointing to the machine. I tried to tell him I was simply trying to make it easier for him to identify the machine and that’s why I gestured towards it. He eventually paid me out without any comment and I couldn’t leave fast enough. By far , especially in this day and age, the worst service I have ever received from a person who should never be employed serving the public. I will never return.

   I went there and one white guy is so rude and business will be closed very soon if he stays for long but one person with long beard he looks like Indian is very humble and great. He served his customers with smile. I am very sad. This bar used to be a good bar with our friends like white and islanders but this white guys is not suitable for public relations.

   Great little sports bar offering friendly karaoke on a Saturday night. Safe parking available across the road with well lit main road parking also available. Alcoholic drinks are extremely limited with usual high price central pricing. Bar staff a re friendly and efficient. Pokies and pool table are available as well.

   Lovely local old schooll pub in Mt Albert. Friendly patrons & staff. Prices reasonable for Auckland. Karaoke Friday & Saturday nights I'm told.

   Great place for a couple of beers and a couple of lazy bets. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Good selection of mainstream beers and RTD's. Few gaming machines and pool tables. Always clean and tidy.

   Love this place. Amazing ops Susan is the boss, Frank on lights and special effects and the son Sean just doing what he's told..lol. Noize Control rock. Fridays and Saturdays at Hops n Hooves. Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere.
