    Just perfect! Order the tomahawk steak, juicy, maximum flavor and cooked perfectly. Steak tartar was also excellent. Service smashed it. Friendly and professional. Holly and Piper took excellent care of us, celebrating moving to Dunedin. A must visit! We will be back!

    Ribeye was tough and dry; beetroot salad is bland without seasoning / sauce; oyster seasoning was too salty. Salmon wing was good as a starter. Waiter was nice but not attentive enough and often forgot what we asked for.

    an expensive shout but the dishes were enjoyable and high quality! we really liked the lamb rump, ribeye, and beetroot salad however my friend did find her ribeye (not pictured) was more fatty than others.

    Heard so much about the place and finally booked a table for a 40th Bday dinner. The night manager Holly was on the ball, friendly,attentive and knew her stuff. The food was brilliant! Had the dry age steak and worth every cent. Had the fries and beetroot salad to share and easily could've added a 3rd person to devour it. Overall it was a great night-walked out very pleased and super full! Will be back!

    Prohibition Smokehouse – 4/5 Stars I had a great dining experience at Prohibition Smokehouse. The ambience was lovely—stylish yet relaxed—and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The food was impressive. The beef croquettes were absolutely delicious, and the boneless chicken thigh was full of flavor with a sauce that had just the right touch of heat without being overpowering. I had the tomahawk steak, which was perfectly cooked—tender and packed with flavor. The sides were just as good: the fries were crisp and well-seasoned, and the Brussels sprouts were a standout—rich, caramelized, and bursting with flavor. For dessert, the passionfruit crème brûlée was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. The only downside? They had run out of coffee, which was a bit disappointing and the only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars. Otherwise, a fantastic meal and I’ll definitely be back.

    I loved the interior decor in this restaurant - very colourful and unique with dried bunches of flowers hanging from the ceiling. All the colours and textures worked so well together.  We had the crispy cauliflower to start, which was very yum then my partner and I both had the sous vide lamb with a side dish of broccolini and almonds as our mains.  It was the first time I'd eaten sous vide lamb and unfortunately I was disappointed. I probably should've ordered the steak which is charred on the outside, but the lamb was too rare and not charred on the outside and the texture just wasn't right for me.  This is probably how it should be, but just not what I'm used to and not a dish I'd order again. The service was good, but a bit disappointed when our starter came out first before our drinks.  I think drinks should always come out first.

    We love this place and keep coming back, although we found the food slightly ordinary. We started with crispy cauliflower and as promised it was crispy. We found the sauce it was swimming in too sweet. Wish it had a bit of citrus in it. The lamb rump was perfectly cooked medium rare and was a generous portion too. Just lacked some crispy texture on the plate. It was a perfect keto meal, full of prime protein. Oyster mushrooms were yumm till we got over mushrooms. Far too generous with mushrooms and again lacked some imagination to compliment the main course. The beetroot salad with feta and greens was pretty good too. May be we have come to expect a lot from this place and tonight it was under their potential. The service was impeccable as usual and the place looks stunning. We will be back for sure.

    We ordered oysters, asparagus, duck, T-borne stake, and chocolate parfait. Those were all amazing. Everything was great but what I most surprised was how nicely light and elegant the chocolate desert. I don’t drink alcohol but I enjoyed mocktails and my husband loved their beer and wine. Highly recommended.
