Had an extremely disappointing Christmas high tea which was not worth the money. Tiny portions, and one item supposed to be hot that was ice cold watery and with ice in centre. Very average sweet options lacking quality and flavour and scone with cream and no jam. Whole family disappointed.
We had an incredible dinner here last Saturday night with my daughter and wife. We came from Palmy and really appreciated the warm, attentive friendly service from Josie he explained each dish so well. The food was absolutely good.
We had the festive high tea and the food and service was excellent. Our server especially was delightful and very knowledgeable about the teas.
Did a high tea. Firstly, tea was some of the best. Try the signature tea at the top of the menu. Wow. Highlights were the vol a vent, and the chicken sandwiches, but everything was great.
Booked a high tea for a celiac (gluten free). Checked twice to make sure that it was, turns out it wasn't. Really disappointed as the place was really great. Staff were great and the food was really good.
Super friendly staff that give great service, good whiskey selection and beer as well, and the food was great. Good night out.
We held a private dinner party at Artisan for about 40 people. Aside from a couple of miscommunications in the initial stages of arranging the party, there was no faulting the service, food, amenities, facilities, or the staff at the Artisan restaurant. Everything was absolutely perfect. The setup in the room, the help from the staff, the private dining menu, the food quality was really superb (well done to the kitchen team). We've used Artisan 3 times now for private functions, and honestly I see no reason I'd not do it again, and I absolutely can recommend this team and location to anyone looking for a dinner party. Top marks to the whole team at Artisan and the Bolton events coordination team.
Although the food is ok and the staff are nice, the service is incredibly slow. The weekend buffet is good, definitely nice if you're staying at the hotel and it's included, but I'm not sure it's worth the price. During the week, the breakfast options are a bit more interesting, and I did enjoy the vegan breakfast, but it seems like they get overwhelmed with the crowds (I waited 20 minutes for a bowl of muesli before I had to leave for work). The saving grace is that the staff is really nice and welcoming.
Nice decor, relaxing vibe and friendly staff. Limited menu but steak was cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. Good place for business dinner or date nights.
