“Don't judge a book by its cover!! The place needs some love visually BUT.. Food was delish and so was the coffee! I had pancakes with blueberries and banana which were chunky and went down a treat, so much so that my toddler took most of them! hubby had eggs bene which got a big thumbs up too :) The lady was so friendly and so patient and kind to my extremely energetic toddler, made the whole trip better meeting her !”

“I haven't actually eaten here but I can vouch for the professional nature of management. I stupidly ordered by mistake from Thai Lotus believing they were a in fact Lotus Thai in Taupo. Upon contacting Thai Lotus the owner was extremely accommodating and we agreed to refund 50% of my mistake. They probably didn't have to do this, so very impressed they were so reasonable. Deserve more business for being good humans.”

The combination of grilled halloumi, falafel, rice, and the creamy sauces on top was just perfect — rich in flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. The hummus and tzatziki were authentic and full of taste, and the bread was soft and warm, perfect for dipping. The manager was incredibly friendly and welcoming. “What a little gem! For a low price, I got a comfy tiny cabin with access to showers, restrooms, and the outdoor kitchen. Great location, just 20 minutes north of Napier. And the food is amazing, particularly the chicken filo, which I highly recommend.”

“We visited Napier Ocean Spa around 4 PM as a family of four—my wife, our two sons, and myself. We took advantage of the family rate, which was a nice deal. The experience was fantastic as we got to enjoy a relaxing soak in the warm spa pools while gazing at the beautiful ocean. The price was affordable, and the warm water felt especially refreshing after a long time. One thing we particularly appreciated was that it wasn’t too crowded, which allowed us to fully enjoy the spa experience. There was also a lukewarm pool for the kids to play in, which kept them entertained for a good two hours. It was a comfortable and enjoyable visit for all of us. If we ever return to Napier, we would love to visit Ocean Spa again!”

“Don't waste your money here! Loved the fact you could order via QR code at the table. Service was OK. BUT they got our drinks order wrong despite ordering it online. Kids cheese burger was dry and bland with no veggies either in the burger or on the side. Steaks were very over cooked and had to be sent back. Food was burne - It was really obvious with the (tasteless) nachos too, but they were served to us anyway. We had chicken nachoes and the chicken was drowned in wholegrain mustard, which wasnt specified on the menu, and my hubby hates, so they tasted quite unpleasant. The lamb confit was also burned, but fortunately it tasted OK...unlike the poor cremated veggies...”
