I went in for eye surgery today (Thurs 20th Nov). From the moment I arrived just before 8am, until the time I left that same day, I was well taken care of. The hospital has such a dedicated, caring staff and I was amazed at how everything was so well coordinated and done efficiently. A pleasant, warry-free experience.
Just spoke to receptionist Jill there regarding my grandmas surgery on the phone and she had such a blunt tone. Very passive aggressive answers to my questions and talked to me like I was stupid. Receptionist are the first impressions of a business and if you don’t like getting called by patients and families and getting asked questions then you shouldn’t be a receptionist.
Just spent 5 days at Southern Cross Hospital Christchurch. Very professional, caring and friendly staff. Awesome atmosphere and comes across as a happy team.
From the pre op phone call through to discharge I was very impressed with the service, kindness and care I received. Such a smooth, very well organised process from the minute I walked in the door. I can't thank the amazing nurses on ward 1 enough for their level of care. Certainly made the start to my recovery very positive.
Fantastic service. The nurses and doctors are friendly that I met. Made me feel comfortable and relaxed.
Not the first time I've been in here but as previously even though it was for an operation all the staff right through from reception to orderlies, nurses, doctors and anaesthetists all made the experience stress free and even, although it might be a strange thing to say, enjoyable. I had a surgery and stayed for one night at Southern Cross. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I felt very well cared for. A big thanks to everyone involved in my care.
I cannot praise the hard working nurses and assistants enough!!! I was kept well informed and was well taken care of during my short stay. I had a lovely room to myself, air-conditioned which is a bonus when the weather is sizzling outside. The food was to a high standard. The rooms all have sky (I didn't watch but great if you are there for longer for sure!). I don't really want to come back but so glad I am lucky enough to be able to use Southern Cross Hospital.
