“We visited a lot of daycares in the area and chose the YMCA because we loved the community feel. The kids are always out and about, taking part in activities and visiting places like the gym, library and park. Our daughter took some time settling in but the teachers have been wonderful with her and now she has really found her feet and has made some great friends. We love the Y :)”

“Our child has been going to sweet pea for almost a year and has thrived. The teachers are really hands on and always available to discuss their progress and how the day has been. Each day there and new and exciting activities set up and the environment is perfect for busy toddlers and has a really nice homey feeling. Having an excellent chef on staff means that the kids are getting healthy and varied food. We have loved our experience with all of the staff and are excited for our second child to be starting in a couple of months.”

“We visited more than seven different early childhood centres to compare options and find a place that would foster a positive mindset for our daughter and this one truly stood out. The facility itself is stunning, and the setting, with access to animals, plants and native bush, creates a unique environment for the children. There are plenty of teachers around, which gives a strong sense of support and care. The dedicated professional chef preparing fresh meals each day is a great bonus. Downside: Drop-off now takes twice as long. There's pigs, pond (I havent seen a fish yet) and Taco the turtle, turns out my daughter refuses to go inside without greeting every resident! On our first trial day, I reached out to chat with a few of the teachers, and they were all warm, approachable, and happy to share insights about how the centre operates. A big thank you to Courtney and Caitlin for the friendly and informative tour. I also want to compliment Tony, who I saw step in thoughtfully during playtime to ensure the children who weren’t already involved had a chance to participate and share. It was done in such a natural and respectful way. Overall, the three hours I spent on my child’s first day felt comfortable and welcoming. Please keep up the wonderful kindness you shown to both children and parents, it truly sets you apart! Highly recommend!”

“I am so grateful to Best Start Rangiora, with having to have my son start daycare at 4.5month old, it was so reassuring knowing he was going to a Centre where the educators really care, and treat him like their own. They're the most trusting group of teachers and I'm so glad I chose them.”

“I wasn't overly keen on the little one going to day care, those exhausting years ago. But then the little one started and I was needed to do drop off and pick up increasingly for a while. The staff have some sorta knack with kids. My treasure of a child helps them, even informs them of the time and how to go about the required tasks. They have almost become her second home. She has blossomed so much and learning so much about being a good person, sharing toys beds mat time what ever. Learning about compassion for her class mates. This centre has been the best choice for out little treasure mostly due to the staff their patience under standing and willingness to push for that next step in development. I don't know who will be saddest about the eventual moving on to school the staff the little one or the wife and I.”

“LOVE LOVE LOVE annabels Avonhead, I moved over to this side of town for the school & preschool. 2 of my children have been there in the past 2 years , my daughter is still there and it’s amazing! The teachers are beautiful , they take their time with every child . My daughter feels comfortable and safe every day . I would highly recommend this preschool and have done to so many people .”

“My 4-year-old boy has been at Tree House for just over a year. He loves going and has grown so many friendships. The teachers are caring and attentive. They are always looking for ways to engage the kids, most recently throughout a dino hunt around the centre.”

“Our daughter attended Kindercare-Addington for over a year, starting in the Tui Room and later moving to the Pukeko Room. We couldn’t be happier with the care and support she received. The teachers have been so accommodating to her needs — from helping with potty training to teaching her songs, and basic facts that toddler should know. One thing that really impressed us is how well they encouraged healthy eating habits. Our daughter now enjoys vegetables and fruits that many parents struggle to get their kids to eat — like carrots, cucumber, capsicum, and even onions! From the very first day I visited, I noticed how well the school maintains cleanliness and hygiene, which was a major deciding factor in enrolling my toddler. It’s been wonderful to watch her grow in confidence, skills, and healthy habits during her time here. Sadly, we have to move her to another preschool due to our recent house move, but we are very grateful for everything that Kindercare-Addington has done for our daughter. Highly recommended!”

She adored exploring the gardens near Victoria Park every morning—whether chasing butterflies or collecting leaves, it sparked her curiosity and love for the outdoors. The nutritious meals provided are a highlight! From fresh fruits to balanced hot dishes, the menu is thoughtfully planned and always received with enthusiasm by the little ones. The center is run by Kerryn, who is not only professional but is kind, empathetic and went above and beyond to support us as a whanau. The staff are absolutely amazing!! “I only have good things to say about Annabel’s - we absolutely love it! Our daughter started in the nursery, then the pre-k & is currently in the kindy, and truly thrives there. The teachers are outstanding- so caring, fun & organised, and have been so amazing helping my daughter transition to each room. There are so many fun activities - singing, dancing, arts, crafts, outdoor fun + more. My son has just started in the nursery & I am excited for him to be starting his Annabel’s journey.”

“We are so happy with both the nursery and preschool. The teachers show such a genuine and caring interest in my children and are passionate about supporting their learning. My son initially struggled with friendships and the teachers did an amazing job at discussing this with me and supporting him to make friends. I will be sad for his time to end there when he goes to school, but am thankful my daughter can continue on there. I highly recommend Te Whare Rama Balcairn Street!!”

The 9/10 scare rating lived up to the hype – pretty intense, especially for my partner – but it made the experience even more thrilling. Great atmosphere, clever puzzles, and plenty of scares. “Both of our daughters went to Kindercare Wigram from when they were 6months old until they started school. Every one of the teachers and support staff always made us feel welcome each day, staff were always approachable and the communication was amazing. Our girls were loved and cared for each day and their days were full of fun and different learning activities and opportunities. The transition to school from preschool was seamless and they were well prepared for school thanks to the amazing teachers at Kindercare. We have made lifelong friends from families at preschool and my daughters always love going back for a catch up.”

“Rachel took our school through the session with our students and then we did the PLD after school which gave us quick and easy, yet meaningful ideas which link so well to critical thinking skills. As a staff we were engaged and the choice of activities to match different age groups were appreciated, especially that we could implement them straight into our classes the next day. So much fun and a great way to teambuild too. Bring on the creativity!”

“My now 5 year old spent over 4 years at Annabel’s before recently starting school, she loved her time there she had great bonds with her teachers and peers. My 1 year old is still in the nursery and he loves his teachers they have great ratios and form a close bond with their key teacher. We have been very happy with Annabel’s and the staff! The new centre manager is doing a great job and is supported by a great team of teachers.”

“Hats off to an employee, Harper completely!! My friend and I came down for a weekend and basically spent both evenings here purely because Harper made our time there unforgettable!!!!! She made sure our drinks were amazing, food was delicious, our golf games hilarious and the arcade games working! (We had a couple not work on us lol) I really thank Harper for her hospitality towards us and cannot hope and pray enough that she's there next time we're down here. “I have learned from Reuben for approximately 15 years. Himself & the teaching team at Salsa Latina have always been kind, welcoming & make you feel at home. Level of teaching is great, always leave class feeling like you have accomplished what was taught & plenty of opportunity is given to practice what is being taught. A great variety of classes/styles are on offer. Can not recommend Salsa Latina enough. You are literally learning from one of the best ☺️”
