“The waiters in this restaurant are very polite and made me feel very comfortable when dining in the store. They will ask you carefully if you need more water? Still need some service? It's been a long time since I've tasted such delicious Japanese food. The vegetable tempura is not greasy and the ingredients are chosen just right, so it tastes delicious. The most surprising thing is that I didn’t expect the portion size of KIWI DINNER to be so big, so I think the portion size for two people is just right. A Japanese restaurant that is worth visiting again.”

“Favourite omurice spot in the city! Yoshizawa is a quaint restaurant located on the side of a busy street. Everytime I walk in the warm smell of curry, beef, rice and chicken makes me salivate. Friendly and quiet staff, perfect if you're an introvert like me. Highly recommend getting one of their omurices, super fluffy and slurpy eggs over hot fried rice (be careful!) And wow oh wow, the curry. It is so rich and strong, well seasoned and creamy that when you pair it with the egg and rice... Absolute banger. Chef's kiss. 10/10, peak restaurant.”

“Cute small japanese restaurant. The restaurant is clean and has a comfortable athmosphere. The staff is very nice and helpful. They seem to like working there and do a lot for the positive vibe. What I've ordered so far: Takoyaki - new favourite dish at Coo's, I just had it today and it was so creamy and delicious! Gyoza - absolutely amazing, especially with some soy sauce. Can 100% recommend this as a starter or to have with a drink. Katsu don (Pork) - was amazing, it could do with some extra tonkatsu sauce for the rice but was still very (!) good. Ikageso - delish little calamaries. Nothing more, nothing less. Karaage don - the karaage was nice and juicy. I am not yet sure how it compares to the chicken katsu don but can recommend. Eel don - beautifully presented and I loved it, but I like eel in general, so if you are not big on fish, I would not recommend this. Umeshu - nicely presented and tasty, reminded me of some dried plums I've had back in europe”

My family arrived for lunch and having travel extensively overseas we feel this restaurant provides a very credible atmosphere and dining experience. “A tiny jewel hides in lovely St Heliers neighborhood. Booking is super easy - online or phone call. Parking is easy as. Quality, freshness and quantity of dishes achieved a great balance. Clean and tidy - toilet too (and not wet). Try and you will keep coming back.”

“Decided to have a late lunch at 9bowls after a bloody hot day at work. I've ordered the Korean Fried Chicken set and it was delicious! The staffs was very attentive and caring, making sure I am well sorted. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and breathes good vibes. “Good service, the waiter let us sit on a table for 4 after ai asked even though there were only my friend and I. The food was very tasty, my friend is a chef and he tried the salmon and said it was fresh caught. Nice and quiet environment, probably also because we got there after 3PM. Anyway, very nice eating experience.”

Ubereat delivered the food to my house was super fast, within 30 minutes after I placed the order. Food was still hot when I received. I ordered grilled pork with yellow rice, which was so amazing. Pork was well marinated. Highly recommend”

The chicken and squid karaage had the perfect balance of crunch and tenderness, while the egg and potato salad was a particularly inspired compliment. “Chef is skillful and nice. Staff and manager are great and have such a service mind. Both sushi and sashimi are fresh and tasty. For someone who wanna try sweet sake, I would recommend a second one from the top (sorry I forgot its name) It was strong but well balanced, pairing with fish is the best. “An experience that’s more than just food. After years, I have finally tried their food! I went on a lunch time and there was only two other people. Good timing because I was already really hungry. He’s a one man show so make sure to allow time when visiting him. He makes sure every dish is fresh so it will really take time, but he dishes them out one by one, so you get small bites in between before the main meal. He is such a lovely man and he took his time to talk to us and welcomed us. His dishes are definitely authentic! Full of flavours despite of it being light- it won’t make you get sick of it. The broth of the ramen was divine! The takoyaki was crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. It was flavourful on its own, no need a lot of sauce! The yakitori was super yummy. He gave us the takoyaki for free which we highly appreciated. The interior and decorations is obviously antique and don’t expect it to be as of modern restaurant style, it’s feels more intimate like you’re at your grandparents house and they’ll cook you a hearty meal. That’s the vibe the place gave. It is such a gem of Pukekohe. If you plan to go here for dinner, make sure you have a reservation. It gets full quite quickly which made it impossible for us before hence why we tried on a weekday at lunch time. You won’t regret coming here! This is what Japanese cuisine is!”
