   We visited this Japanese restaurant again after a great experience last time, but unfortunately this visit was a let-down. The food was only average, and the portion sizes felt noticeably small for the price we paid. The pricing itself was on the extreme side, especially considering the quality and quantity of the dishes. On the positive side, the service was genuinely good — the staff were friendly and attentive. But overall, the value just wasn’t there this time, and it didn’t live up to our previous visit. Hopefully things improve in the future.

   My honest feedback is that the prices felt quite high for the portion sizes provided. For example, the Seafood Teppanyaki was priced at $30.80, but the serving included only four to five small pieces of seafood and a single slice of onion as the “vegetable” component, which was quite disappointing. The rice was also relatively expensive considering the small portion size. Additionally, we had to wait for 10 plus minute for our order to be taken. Similarly, the Seafood Tempura, priced at $25.80, felt underwhelming in terms of quantity. Even the gyoza did not meet expectations, as I have had better quality from basic supermarket options. The California roll lacked flavour and seemed rushed in preparation, with most of the taste coming only from soy sauce and mayonnaise. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations, especially given the price point. Unfortunately, it did not feel like good value for money.

   I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant today. The beef and sushi was excellent, very flavourful and pleasant to the mouth. The service by Sophia and Lucas was excellent and commendable as they were extremely friendly. If you’re in the area i would highly recommend.

   A place we have visited many times. It’s what you’d expect from a NZ Japanese restaurant. Out of the things we ordered, I liked the seared tuna the most. Sushi roles weren’t very fresh. The location of the restaurant is good though, you get a good view of half moon bay. The ventilation inside the restaurant was really bad, very hot and stuffy.

   Every dish we tried was super tasty. The fish tasted really fresh. The sushi was good but not perfectly constructed. Still tasted great. Spicy tuna roll wasn't too spicy. The tuna tataki was a highlight!

   Sashimi was very fresh, strongly recommend this. Sizzling prawn would be nicer if they had more yum yum sauce on it. I was disappointed with the tempura, as this was not Japanese tempura batter… more like the batter from fish and chips shop. Service was fantastic. Really friendly and attentive waitresses.
