Tasty food but the portions are insanely small… i usually have for lunch bento box similar price elsewhere its double the size of this…
Normally come here 6 plus times a year. Our first restaurant we visit when ever in orewa. Tonight our first visit ever when we were disappointed. Wait staff lovely. Food quality has slipped. We had bento boxes. Sashimi salmon and tuna were the fatty salmon and tuna sinewy and less fresh. The tempura vegetables were mainly batter, the gyozas tasted reheated. In the pork katsu box the pork was thin and tough the sushi was stale. Just not the standard we have been use to and recommended to many friends. Tomorrow night will go to another restaurant. Sad.
Beautiful japanese food and a wonderful attentative waiter. Thank you! Value for money, BYO wine and i high recommend the bento box.
We will definitely be back! Cold beer and delicious food. The food was so good - Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken Katsu, Fish Katsu, Vegetable Tempura. Loved that the mains came with Miso. Very reasonably priced plus BYO (which is so rare these days). The only negative was the restrooms could do with a bit of a refresh, but you go for the food, not the loos!
Food has always been amazing for 10years +. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Service is no frills but all the staff are lovely
High quality food and staff, the sushi is perfect everytime, I have dined in and got take out and have had awesome experiences with both. If you are on the coast I definitely would recommend them!!
Our go to place for Japanese dine in. I always order tempura prawn donburi, it's amazing. This time we tried something different Spicy Chicken Ramen and Katsu chicken curry. We are definitely ordering them again. Easy recommendation around the coast.
It was a sunny and nice for dining out and found this little Japanese restaurant on my wanderings. Ordered a tofu lamen and it was fantastic. I love eating out and trying different food and places are my favourite pastime. Will come back soon to taste other dishes. Cheers!
