This is my family favorite Japanese restrant. Tempura and Karaage were always good! Sushi and Sashimi fish are always fresh and well presented. The samon was almost melted in your mouth. Also should try Tarutaru Tuna was delish!!
The food was excellent — fresh sashimi and perfectly cooked beef. However, the service was disappointing throughout the evening. One server in particular seemed visibly unfriendly and began clearing our table while we were still eating, which felt rushed and disrespectful. I've dined here many times over the years, and it's especially disheartening considering the high standards of hospitality typically found in Japanese restaurants. Unfortunately, this experience has made me decide not to return
The food was exceptional—not cheap, but very good! Even though we didn't make a reservation, the staff was incredibly friendly throughout the evening. It was my daughter's birthday, and the staff came over to ask if we wanted ice cream with happy birthday on it to make the night special.
The waiters in this restaurant are very polite and made me feel very comfortable when dining in the store. They will ask you carefully if you need more water? Still need some service? It's been a long time since I've tasted such delicious Japanese food. The vegetable tempura is not greasy and the ingredients are chosen just right, so it tastes delicious. The most surprising thing is that I didn’t expect the portion size of KIWI DINNER to be so big, so I think the portion size for two people is just right. A Japanese restaurant that is worth visiting again.
The best Japanese food we had in Auckland. The portions were generous with great presentation. The staff are very nice too.
I ordered Lunch Special of two choices. Teriyaki Beef and Karaage Chicken. Heavenly taste.
We had a lovely dinner here. All the food was very tasty and even though they were understaffed the service was good. Highly recommended
