“My daughter and I went for dinner tonight and we’ll definitely being going back. Each meal was well presented and delicious! Tastier than other Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. There is so much more on the menu I want to try. Was lovely just the two of us, but can imagine even better with a larger group and sharing more meals. Our meals came out with some time between them so I did get dinner envy of others I saw. But when ours arrived it was totally worth the wait. You def need to try this one. My latest east Auckland fav.”

“I've visited this restaurant a couple of times and always meant to write a review but their delicious food just slipped my mind. I had the pleasure of dining there again tonight with my wife and I must say the place consistently meets high standards. The service was excellent and the seating was both nice and comfortable. My children absolutely love the sushi too. Plus, the prices are reasonable, there's plenty of parking and the atmosphere is wonderfully clean. It’s a great spot to enjoy a meal.”

Recently, many sushi restaurants taste like fusion sushi, BUT this restaurant has been in business for a long time in Pukekohe, it tastes traditional and fresh, and I can't get enough of the food even if I eat a lot. The owner is kind and very honest.”

I highly recommend trying some of their fresh bakes when you visit. It’s also a great spot to enjoy a coffee with a cupcake or treat on the side. Don’t miss it!”

“We recently dined at Katsura with a group of 12, and it was exceptional from start to finish. The food was absolutely incredible, beautifully presented, full of flavor, and enjoyed by everyone at our table. What truly set the evening apart was the service. The staff were attentive, warm, and professional, and we were especially impressed by one of the waiters who was able to kōrero mai with us. That added touch of cultural connection made the experience even more memorable. I’ve already recommended Katsura to at least five people, and I’ll continue to do so. “When I went to Glenfield not too long ago with a buddy, we happened across a Japanese restaurant because we were really hungry after our long drive. We were drawn in by the remarkable array of selections and the welcoming atmosphere. I finally settled on a smaller bento after some deliberation, and the young woman who worked as the cashier was small but friendly and gave excellent service. The circular bento box contained a delectably presented selection of steamed rice, shrimp, chicken, veggies, and yummy sauces. While the chicken was moist and delicious, its rich sauce nicely complemented the golden and crunchy shrimp that were melting in my tongue. It was a wonderful culinary experience, one of the most excellent dinners I had eaten in a long time.♥️”

“Brought my parents here for their 45th anniversary, was totally worth it. Got to try their Kagoshima A5 wagyu to see if it lived up to the hype. Was amazing. Never tasted beef like that before, melted in my mouth like butter, didn't need any garnish or condiments, just grilled and seared to perfection. The set menu was good too but the Wagyu was definitely the highlight. The different wine pairings worked really well too”
