“High streets best kept secret! Visit on a sunny day for a beautiful outdoor escape or a rainy one for a cozy coffee (the heaters / cover work wonders). Coffee and service is always 10/10, and the Bacon Benedict is always hits the spot. Love that they also support local businesses as well. Definitely visit if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful brunch spot in the CBD.”
“We stopped by for muffins and coffee. The cinnamon muffins were huge and very tasty. The proprietor was helpful and made sure we got large muffins since we looked hungry. He’d made them himself that morning. The coffee was good and strong as well. We didn’t grab sandwiches for lunch, but they were on display in the case and looked delicious.”
“Love Cigana! Tim’s always so welcoming, as is Valentina. It’s a great place to grab a coffee and catch up on local news. Big fan.”
“Such a great little local Cafe. The food, coffee and service were amazing. It's always busy and now I know why. If you're ever in the Farm Cove neighbourhood, make sure you pop in, at least for a coffee and something from the cabinet!”
“Really helpful and friendly service but the real stand out are the sweaters! Absolutely gorgeous. We wanted something really warm, but not too bulky. We were a little worried about the possum because we’ve experienced it being itchy before now but not with Ahipao! Soft as a cloud and great quality. Can’t recommend highly enough and will be a definite go to for our winter woolies.”
“Aren't dissapointed about The Gateau House! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and filled with the delicious aroma of freshly baked goods. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their craft.”
“The lady boss and man boss so down to earth! The teas they have are sooo yummy”
“Such a gem! One of the best meals we had in NZ. The ceviche will change your life. We were basically licking the plate. Cocktails were fantastic. Doesn’t feel as touristy as other spots on the island which is nice as well. We were only stopping in for a snack and it was so good we ended up doing full blown dinner here. View of the ocean down the road from outdoor seating. Thank you to the chefs and wait staff for a wonderful meal and time!!!”
“Had the best Bacon and Eggs in any cafe ever and I travel across Auckland a lot. Toast and poached eggs were perfect and bacon was amazing. Flat white was great too! Thoroughly recommend.”
“Excellent food and coffee. The Avo Smash with poached eggs and a flat white is the perfect brekkie. The staff are all very nice. Having the outdoor patio is an added bonus.”
“Great cute cafe! Staff were vibrant and kind!!! No errors and smiles all round! GREAT MUSIC PLAYLIST and the best vanilla slice I’ve had in a while!!!!”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited Centro Cafe in Takapuna yesterday and absolutely loved the experience! The ambience and atmosphere are so warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax. The food was beautifully presented in such a creative way, and it tasted just as good as it looked. The coffee was outstanding — easily one of the best I’ve had, thanks to the talented barista. A special mention to Sandun De Silva, the owner, for creating such a wonderful place. You can really feel the passion and care that goes into every detail here. Definitely a five-star worthy café — highly recommend to anyone visiting Takapuna!”
“Generous helping of food Nice coffee”
“One of the best pies I've had in a long time. Beef bacon and cheese. The must bacon I've ever had in a pie and it actually has cheese... Not a sprinkle of. The steak potato top pie was also outstanding.”
“Consistently delightful experience! The pastries are divine, the bread is top-notch, and the coffee is excellent. A truly lovely spot for a morning treat or a quick lunch. Highly recommended.”
“What a great place with a great selection Well worth a visit”
“I have been going to the Little Oven for my coffee fix during the week and Saturday morning for so many years. Muffins are yum, a couple of savory options and 3/4 sweet and scones. A selection of sandwiches, salads, quiche and vegetarian pies (you'd swear you were eating meat), sweetcorn pies mmmm. The usual selection of s/m/l coffees, Teas, Hot Chocolates all moderately priced. A coffee card stamped at each purchase and get yourself a free muffin after 5 or 10 drinks. Today Pumpkin Soup was on the menu, delicious. I've also asked for dumplings at times. Ni need to cook dinner They don't charge a surcharge on public holidays, you can ring in an order and drink while you're waiting to get on the motorway at Queenstown Rd or going for your walk or bike ride. Coffee is great, service is great, food is great, location is great. Sit down or takeaway. It's a stones throw from the Waikowai boardwalk and Temanu Reserve. Staff are friendly and cheerful. AAA+++”
“Fantastic café! Some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. We were visiting from out of town with our 6-month-old, and they made us feel incredibly welcome and accommodated. Although we only stopped in for a quick drink before heading to the airport, I tried some of their recommended food, and I wasn’t disappointed. The chicken bao were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and light—not heavy like some can be. The atmosphere is stylish, modern, with a bit of an industrial vibe, which is right up my alley. Full marks to the team—thank you! We’ll definitely be back.”
“How much do we love coming here once a week. Food is always delicious. However we come to catch up with Ming and Jessica. Who always greet every customer with such warm smiles and are always happy to see you. Love catching up with the regulars too.”
“I got the chance to pop into Luna bake house and let me say it did not disappoint, from the coffee to the Pastry’s everything was perfect. The staff were also amazing very friendly and great with recommendations. Can’t wait to go back to this hidden gem.”
“Nice café with a relaxed atmosphere and great coffee. The cabinet food looked fresh and well presented, with a nice variety. Would happily stop by again.”
“Just love Beachhouse Eatery. Food excellent. Just had Noodle Salad, new to the menu and a winner, staff are friendly and onto it, the view to die for and atmosphere so Orewa. My favourite eatery.”
“If I could give more than 5 stars I would! A few years ago I was pregnant, tired and incredibly hungry and all the restaurants were actually closing their doors, including vino. My poor husband ran up just as you were closing the doors and asked if you had anything spare he could buy for me quickly. Without hesitation you actually turned your ovens back on,chatted to my husband about life, and made me a double portion of pasta FREE of charge and said it was a gift for us and our first baby. I genuinely cried at how generous you were to a total stranger. Don’t know if you remember this at all,but it’s always stuck with us! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.”
“We had breakfast there . The breakfast menu was good. The food we ordered was really tasty. The atmosphere is of really cozy street cafe where you can spend time and have food. A bit like Europe. The service was real fast and very polite. Overall A nice experience.”
“We arrived today from Taupō and were lucky to have our morning coffee at Midpoint. Their welcome was wonderful and warm. We enjoyed an absolutely amazing coffee. Thank you all so much — great job, team! Stay awesome!”
“Lovely staff and great food and coffee menu. If you love coffee then you must visit this place! The food we ordered was so delicious - very happy with how the mini breakfast was seasoned. Nothing was overly salted and ingredients were fresh. Really good prices too!”
“We went to the Cafe for lunch. It was quiet however speaking to the staff it gets very busy during the weekend. The food was excellent and the service great. A lovely place for lunch if you’re looking for beautiful surroundings and plenty of room to relax.”
“The Hunting Lodge is such a beautiful wedding venue. As a wedding photographer, I always love shooting here. The grounds are stunning year-round, and the sunsets over the vineyards are next level. There are several ceremony options, including right at the edge of the vines or beside the iconic Barn. I also love the vintage caravan bar, it adds such a fun, relaxed energy and looks amazing in photos! With their in-house wine, relaxed vibe, and versatile indoor-outdoor flow, The Hunting Lodge is one of the best winery venues in Auckland :)”
“One of the best dining experience. Food was delicious and the ambience of the place gave me the Christmas feeling well. Sure I will visit this place once again with my family. Thank you for all the people who served us in Circus Circus. Cheers.”
“I ordered a latte and the milk foam was super smooth. The barista made different latte art each time, which was so cute lol. The only thing was that the desserts were a bit pricey one madeleine was $7”
