Great cafe with excellent coffee and fast, friendly service. It had a really nice, bustling vibe - a welcome change in an otherwise pretty quiet CBD. The First Watch was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back.

Satisfactory coffee, good location. Unlike the other stalls here, it has its own tiny little section to itself, perfect if you need somewhere quiet since everything else upstairs is noisy. Could get cold since it's right by the stairways out by the entrance.

Had brunch here on holidays after reading reviews. Coffee was great , table service also great , staff friendly . Quite pricey but food was fantastic & a large portion, we ordered the Benny with bacon soldiers : so flavorsome , cornbread was sensational soft with distinct corn flavor & very well presented (only thing eggs were slightly overdone for me) . A twist on traditional Benny’s as this was quite spicy both hollandaise & the chipotle). Hubby had the Milanese eggs with bacon (rich velvety & delicious) of course I tried it also . Highly recommended.

Great morning coffee and Pastry. The Date scone was unfortunately not cooked through but they did apologise and tell the baker. Coffees great and the Almond Croissant rated highly along with the Chocolate Twist.

Good flat whites & Matcha latte. Always looks to be busy hence tried the place out. The hot drinks were delicious. The atmosphere is nice with an open area and a great spot to people watch whilst drinking. Plenty of seats. Service was friendly and everything was well explained. I will be happily back here!

Stopped by here for breakfast and the omelette was delicious. Good place if you’re in the area

We were going to another cafe for breakfast but have to take cover from the torrential rain. So we stumbled upon Lieutenant. Probably the most interesting and beautiful omelette I ever had and it did taste good with all the interesting vegetables bits. I had it with the Bacon Soldiers (Just a cute name because the cafe is called Lieutenant I guess?) My partner loved his burger and fries. He loves his coffee so much and ordered a second cup which he seldom do. But the coffee didn’t quite hit the spot for me. The young staff could be a bit friendlier and more attentive although they were running off their feet and looked really stressed.

This cafe is located within the mall, but don’t let that fool you. The coffee was solid and the food was AMAZING! Highly recommend getting their “first watch” and “free ranger” dishes.
