A special mention to Gagan, who truly made our visit exceptional. She was so caring and welcoming that it honestly felt like we were enjoying a meal at home. The staff were friendly, quick, and made sure the order was exactly how I wanted it. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, and everything tasted great. “We’ve been to Blitza several times and had their takeaway several times too and each time it really is fabulous. The staff are so kind, warm and friendly and the food is just amazing. The best chicken fettuccine & seafood fettuccine we’ve ever had. The sauce is quite unique, not like others we’ve had which we love. Just delicious, if you’re in the area or even if you’re not it’s something that’s definitely worth a try!”

“Wow what an amazing place! First time in the staff Greeted me with a welcoming G'day. Unfortunately I'm gluten free (celiac) However this wasn't a problem as they had a few different opinions. The Kebab came out before I could sit down, To say the service was outstanding is an understatement. My first bite left me wondering if I should get up & order a second (the portion to price was definitely correct) it was absolutely delicious. “A nice Turkish restaurant just on the corner behind queens street. There is ample seating space for indoor dining as well as some space for outdoor dining while sitting on the street. The menu is pretty large and enough vegetarian options are available in all types of pizzas, Turkish Pide, and sandwiches along with sandwiches. The Shwarmas and Pizza are really good. Staff is really nice and the service was very fast. Parking is a challenge around this area as it is on a busy junction, so you need to park a bit far for street parking or in a parking lot around the city center. Nice Halal place to grab a bit while roaming Auckland city center. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.”

“Went here the first time. Ordered a nice seafood pizza. Asked if they have Tabasco, I was surprised, yes they have. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. The pizza was very yummy and crispy, very enjoyable. Will come back for sure.”

“What a great place to discover. This friendly bar and restaurant about 60 metres from Waiwera beach has the relaxed beach vibe in abundance. Inside there is a restaurant end with about 8 tables, then there is a bar area which opens into a covered outdoor area with pool table and pizza bar with wood fired pizzas. Service was friendly and functional and the business seems to be family run. Food was excellent. Best lamb shank I’ve had in ages with excellent flavours. Prawn salad was also very good. Beer was ice cold and they had a good collection of spirits as well as smoothies and non-alcoholic drinks. I think for me the relaxed atmosphere was what I enjoyed the most - like stepping into some place you’ve known all your life and instantly relaxing. Waiwera town feels a bit run down but the history with the hot pools (now closed) is interesting and it has retained its sleepy charm. If you’re going to Wenderholm consider lunch or dinner at Sugarloaf beach bar.”
