“You need to try this place if you haven't already! My partner and I highly recommend it to everyone we know. The food is excellent, the service is amazing, the price is great for what you get, and the portions are big! My partner and I usually get the teriyaki salmon and chicken katsu donburi. The ingredients are very fresh and balanced with the fresh salad. The sauces are very flavourful. We've tried other items on their menu and their sushi and they are all excellent. We'd say their sushi is some of the best we've ever had! The service is also amazing - the staff are very friendly and always have a smile on their face. It feels as though every order is very important to them. They also always remember preferences we have (e.g. not liking onions). This place is so good that even when we moved out of the blockhouse bay area to about half an hour away we still try to go regularly. We would give them more than 5 stars if we could!”

“Finally made it to Hugo’s Bistro for their weekend dinner offer — I’ve always wanted to dine here, and this was the perfect excuse! We absolutely loved everything from the moment we arrived. The welcome was warm, and the host who looked after us made our evening feel genuinely special. The complimentary glass of champagne was such a thoughtful touch. The menu is beautifully curated, and every dish we tried was exceptional. You can really feel the care and craft behind the food and the service. “Nice Italian restaurant with GF Pasta and Pizza. Pasta portions are huge, I‘ve struggled eating up the main size and ordered this time an entree size, which was a full size portion too. Also nice Italian wines to go with your meal. I can recommend Sangovese. Definitely a nice place to dine in. Bookings might be helpful as this place is well visited”

“Had a fantastic dining experience at Daphne. The highlight of the night was definitely the woodfired market fish dish — a beautiful combination of clams, mussels, prawns, and fresh fish that captured the essence of the sea. Every bite was a burst of oceanic flavour, delicately balanced with herbs and seasoning. It felt like a celebration of fresh seafood done right. Also really enjoyed the pork belly skewers — crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, paired perfectly with the pickled rhubarb and fennel. A great contrast of textures and flavours.”

“My partner and I were visiting from Melbourne and had the best burgers and wings from Ralph’s! You can tell the kitchen makes everything from scratch and take their food very seriously. We joke all the time about flying back for a day just to eat there again. Really cool vibe to the place too and lovely service - relaxed and friendly people. Cannot recommend enough!”

They had multiple vegan pizza options, and multiple kebab/iskender options too! I got a vegan chicken kebab with vegan aioli, it was bloody lovely! “I visited the restaurant midweek for dinner with my friend. An Arab friend had recommended it. The atmosphere and decor are lovely. The staff are very friendly. We had chicken mandi and lamb tikka, which were truly delicious. The tea was also wonderfully made. If you enjoy Middle Eastern food, I highly recommend it.”

“Cute small japanese restaurant. The restaurant is clean and has a comfortable athmosphere. The staff is very nice and helpful. They seem to like working there and do a lot for the positive vibe. What I've ordered so far: Takoyaki - new favourite dish at Coo's, I just had it today and it was so creamy and delicious! Gyoza - absolutely amazing, especially with some soy sauce. Can 100% recommend this as a starter or to have with a drink. Katsu don (Pork) - was amazing, it could do with some extra tonkatsu sauce for the rice but was still very (!) good. Ikageso - delish little calamaries. Nothing more, nothing less. Karaage don - the karaage was nice and juicy. I am not yet sure how it compares to the chicken katsu don but can recommend. Eel don - beautifully presented and I loved it, but I like eel in general, so if you are not big on fish, I would not recommend this. Umeshu - nicely presented and tasty, reminded me of some dried plums I've had back in europe”

“This was our first time visiting this pizza place after seeing some good reviews. We ordered the Chicken Slingy Pizza and the Spicy Lamb Pizza. I can definitely confirm this is one of the best pizza places on this side of Auckland. I've tried all the pizza shops in the area and this is definitely the best with regards to taste, quality and value for money. They also provide great customer service with friendly staff who were always smiling. We will definitely be going back there. Thank you, It's Pizza Time!”

“Went to Gusto Italiano not knowing what to expect which ended up being a great decision last night. Our dinner the seafood spaghetti, chicken breast with vegetables & chicken fettuccine all amazing. The service from Milan & Armando was equally great. Definitely will return and thinking about ordering pizza & lasagne for tonight.”

Had the $31 burger which was never going to be the best value, but it was very nice. Had the ribs last time and the pizza too, all very nice. Some of the best thick cut fries I’ve had.
