Authentic, flavourful, modern style Indian that hits the spot. The favourites are perfect (butter chicken, lamb Rogan Josh, garlic naan) but I’d also push the boat out and add the vegetarian mains and yummy sides to broaden your experience.

Thank you we had a fabulous dinner at Khana. The food was truly delicious and the whole team made us feel welcome and we were well looked after. Really great service. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace. Lovely atmosphere. Enjoyable night. Highly recommend.

Came here for First Table and glad we picked this spot - the food was so good! The naan was so fresh and both curries were a hit. Service was great and they were very attentive. First Table only gave us a discount on the curries and didn't include any other food items so the rice and naan were paid at full price. Their in store deal ($25) includes a curry, rice and naan so we think the First Table deal was okay - would rather just come in and have their in store deal!

It was such awesome food and night for us. The owner was so lovely. The food was so yum. I love my butter chicken and garlic naan!!! We had butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and paneer makhani with garlic naan and garlic and cheese naan. So so yum!!

I recently dined at Khana, in St Heliers, on a busy Saturday night. Though the restaurant was bustling, leading to a longer wait time for the food, it was understandable given the circumstances. The owner's pleasant demeanor and the helpful staff made the experience enjoyable. Most importantly, the food was exceptional, with flavors that were both rich and satisfying. Khana is certainly a place I would recommend for a delightful Indian meal.

Very authentic Indian food unlike most Indian restaurants in Auckland that serve sugar laden curries. Very welcoming environment. Loved the hospitality of the staff. Excellent!

We tried the chicken tikka (starter), chicken kadhai, chicken tikka masala, daal makhni, a couple of cheese and garlic naans. We also got the Rose wine, Whiskey and a coke. The quantity of mains is very, very small. For the price, it's really not worth it. There are other Indian restaurants who do justice to their quantities and the flavor that they present in the food. It was like having food from one of those fast food Indian takeaways. Not upto the mark. The staff are nice but the owner - Anurag is very arrogant. Honestly, his presence and etiquettes are very poor. This place just means business for him. He wanted to charge us 10$ for a takeaway box if we wanted to take our left overs (very small quantity again). The reason we didn't eat was because we didn't like the food. He even went back in the kitchen (was talking in Hindi, thank god I understand the language) and was telling his staff to push people to buy more and take money for takeaway containers by saying its made with plastic and everything is expensive...haha. Honestly just goes to show that this person does not care about the experience that a customer feels in his restaurant but the money aspect for things. Would like to mention, I have tried other indian restaurants and this one just has nothing special to offer.

I ordered goat curry, however I received boneless lamb curry. I definitely know the difference in taste and texture between two. Edit: Changing my review to 5āļø after acknowledging what possibly could have happened? Owner also compensated with a complementary dish. Great flavours.
