“What a great place to discover. This friendly bar and restaurant about 60 metres from Waiwera beach has the relaxed beach vibe in abundance. Inside there is a restaurant end with about 8 tables, then there is a bar area which opens into a covered outdoor area with pool table and pizza bar with wood fired pizzas. Service was friendly and functional and the business seems to be family run. Food was excellent. Best lamb shank I’ve had in ages with excellent flavours. Prawn salad was also very good. Beer was ice cold and they had a good collection of spirits as well as smoothies and non-alcoholic drinks. I think for me the relaxed atmosphere was what I enjoyed the most - like stepping into some place you’ve known all your life and instantly relaxing. Waiwera town feels a bit run down but the history with the hot pools (now closed) is interesting and it has retained its sleepy charm. If you’re going to Wenderholm consider lunch or dinner at Sugarloaf beach bar.”

“Just yumm! Their special butter chicken with garlic nan is a must try. One portion rice is complimentary. The lady that manage the restaurant is a rockstar! I visited on last night of my Auckland trip and cursed myself for not discovering this before. Quantity and taste was better than most restaurants here in India. Kudos!”

“Great service and delicious food. The layout is confusing and causes congestion as those wishing to pay block the entrance. It was quite busy when we went and the gentleman at front of house, seated us, took our order, delivered our meal and cleared the table. He did this both indoor and outdoor. It seemed he was doing the work of at least 3 people.”

“I wish I took photos. The wings were fried to perfection and the buffalo sauce was tangy n spicy. I’m thinking about it at night hence this review and I will be ordering again tomorrow to see if it’s consistent. I was so impressed!”

“We went into HELL Pizza Henderson to try their famous special ‘Unearthed’ Hangi Pizza and I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was, the crispy pork belly was perfect! Great service and our pizza was ready within 12mins of ordering, highly recommend these guys.”

“This is a regulation McDonald's restaurant serving the usual popular menu items. The location is easily accessible but can be busy due to traffic and bustle on the adjoining Dominion road area. Ample parking is available however there are strict time restrictions in place to avoid the overflow traffic entering here. Self service screens to order food are installed and are very convenient. Drive through is also available here. The staff are nice and welcoming. Order wait times are minimal and overall experience is pleasant here. Highly recommended.”

“Fantastic food, especially the Angus Beef loaded fries, my partner and I regularly get a bowl when we are in westgate and looking to grab some food. Just the one bowl is enough to fill both of us up for the next few hours at a cheap price.”

“After all these years this rest is still holding strong. It used to be very expensive but right now $20 a take away meal looks reasonable. If u buy bbq take away alone it’s expensive. “Absolutely stunning service from all departments within one business. We purchased their "Nap" sofa bed as a secondary couch for our house to have as a back up bed for our home office. We dealt with Aida who was absolutely amazing and patient throughout our experience. Aida advised us that the couch would be available for delivery in 2 weeks which was not a problem so we purchased the couch on this basis. However 3 days later I received a call from their warehouse (so was just as friendly!) advising a delivery was available the upcoming weekend which was pleasantly surprising. We were advised that I would receive a further text prior to delivery giving us a delivery window. This text was received 2 days prior to delivery and was written very professionally (looking at YOU Nick Scali) which advised a delivery time of 9-12pm. The gentleman also said I'd receive a call 30 minutes prior to delivery. On the day of delivery at 1110am, I was advised that they would arrive in 30 minutes. At 1135am, my couch was delivered. It's a shame we used Freedom furniture to purchase our secondary couch, as we have received legendary service from them in comparison to Nick Scali who charged twice the price, but provides half the service. Target: Great price ✓✓✓ Under promised, over delivered.... Literally ✓✓✓ Great communication! ✓✓✓ Amazing staff to deal with ✓✓✓ There is nothing I couldn't fault them on at all.”
