“We are very happy with Lollipops. Our son has been going here for a little over a year now and he just loves it. The staff are friendly and have always tried their utmost to accommodate our requests. The teachers are just amazing too! They are gentle, kind, and patient - to nurture my son's curiosity for science and nature, they have even set up special experiments. The classrooms are well-equipped with a wide variety of toys and activities for the children. The learning themes for each month are communicated clearly, and we get regular updates about what our son and his classmates are getting up to and learning about each week. It is so reassuring to know that he is having lots of fun while learning, and that he is being cared for and fed so well.”

“5 years ago, I studied here and I had a lecturer called Maher feud. Hear me out …. I was studying health and wellbeing. I was a troubled young teen and had little to no confidence when it came to anything around assignments as I had strong insecurities that I was to slow for the class. This grew from not finishing high school. Because of that I stopped attending regular classes and decided it would be best if I just went ghost and NZMA would eventually remove me. During those times of being absent, I would miss out the opportunity to witness my grades and feedback from him. I missed a whole week without writing an email about my absence and not calling in. Until he called and called to push that I came back. I never understood at the time why he had so much faith in me, when I didn’t. Eventually I went back and wanted to see , what he was talking about. He expressed that “ you are highly intelligent, you may barely be here but give yourself some credit because it shows in your grades. I believe you could pursue to be a doctor. I will even help you to get a scholarship” This was a longer conversation but trust. It had such a huge impact on my life, it became a core memory for me. I left NZMA with so much faith and new skills. I didn’t pursue to be a doctor but I definitely built me to finish a social work degree and now heading into my masters. NZMA and especially that particular Lecturer. Deserves all the flowers and recognition for his dedication with his students. To this very day, I give my thanks because NZMA and him especially opened a whole new pathway for me, I never saw was possible. So thank yous and thank you Maher!”

“i went to this camp for school it was AMAZING. it was abit of a long drive but it was SUPER COOL. but some bags got left in the bus but still 5 stars. my favourite part was rainbow tag. thank you for letting us stay a big thank you from waiuku primary school”

They also have lots of activities throughout the year which whanau are encouraged to be involved in. If you are after a small, caring centre that feels like home then this is the place. She has been awesome to deal with especially with changing timetables every week(due to shift work), always quick to clarify any questions we’ve had. “Top line: Very good gym, great facilities. Limited space. Friendly staff, especially the manager(s) Pros: it’s quiet with sauna, pool, onsen, steam room, tennis courts, football, basketball, towels, shampoo, conditioner, iron, moisturiser, hair gel, etc Cons: found it challenging to get the initial viewing. Limited and older equipment, but it does the job! Not sure how often the sauna etc gets a deep clean. Given all the other facilities, surprised it doesn’t have a hair brush in the changing rooms, and either 1. A machine to fast dry swim wear or 2. Plastic bags to take wet swim wear home”

“It's clean, the environment is calm and you're able to focus and get more work done as well as feeling like you have freedom and respect from your teachers. You're also allowed to just go to the bathroom, you don't need to ask for permission from your teachers which is a plus.”

“Our son started at lollipops Lynfield a month before he turned one. It’s a dreadful experience for any parent when they first drop off their kid but the team at Lollipops Lynfield was so understanding and kind and helped with this transition in a amazingly kind and thoughtful way-we can’t speak more highly of them. A year later -Our son loves going here and we trust the team and couldn’t ask for more.”

I have noticed big change when she started and now she understands the way how to engage socially and how to listen her teachers and sit properly in the class. Well done all kauri room teachers.
