    Ranui Kindergarten

    ★★★★★ 5 Open

“Rānui Kindergarten has been a second home for my daughter, Maiden. From the moment we stepped through the gates, I knew she was in the right place. The kaiako are warm, welcoming, and genuinely connected with each child — and I mean each. Most tamariki have one favourite teacher, but Maiden has built strong bonds with all of them, which speaks volumes about the love and manaakitanga in this space. Since starting at Rānui Kindy, she’s come out of her shell — her confidence, creativity and independence have all grown beautifully. I’ve seen her voice become stronger, her imagination flourish, and her pride in her culture deepen. The team do more than just “teach” — they uplift and nurture the whole child. Every day is filled with meaningful learning, fun exploration, and aroha. The outdoor area is stunning, the routines are calm and supportive, and the whānau feel is real. I'm so grateful for everything Rānui Kindy has done for Maiden. She's thriving — and I honestly believe the foundation she’s getting here will set her up for life. Ngā mihi nui to the beautiful kaiako — your mahi matters, and it’s changing lives. — Mum of Maiden”

    Glenfield Kindergarten

“My youngest child attended Glenfield Kindergarten from January 2022 until August 2023 and absolutely thrived here. We were so pleased to find this kindergarten for her, she had the most wonderful opportunities and experiences. She loved every minute of her time at Glenfield Kindy, the many activities, the mat times and her teachers. She learnt many new skills, developed great confidence and great friendships. The teachers are so kind and caring, and are constantly thinking up new ideas and challenges for the kids. We really felt part of a wonderful community, and were sad to leave to head to school.”

    Anchorage Park Kindergarten

    ★★★★★ 4.8 Closed

“Best ECE /Kindergarten in New Zealand. Anchorage Park Kindergarten is the heart and soul of the community. The highly qualified teachers not only provide an amazing space and experience and love for my little ones, but genuinely care about our family as a whole. They catered to the special needs of my children, willing to adapt and try new things to help my children thrive. When new to the area they connected us with other families that have grown into lasting friendships for my children and us as parents. When my spouse went through a mental crisis I felt love and support for our family from them. They connected us to resources and support I couldn't have found on my own. They inquire about my older children, and remember their names despite years gone past since they were at kindy. They supported me in getting back into work. This wonderful team at Anchorage Park Kindergarten cultivates the space for my children to grow, and fosters a loving community so that I, as a parent, grow too.”

    Mahurangi Kindergarten

    ★★★★★ 5 Open

“Jon loves this Kindie. Teacher's are warm, accommodating, kind, considerate, loving, and compassionate. My son loves the opportunity given by the teachers for him to grow holistically, like providing varied activities to develop different skills. Kindie teachers helped him in his social skills , llowing more opportunities for kkidsto develop friendships. They paired other kid's to play with him during his first few months. He's not talking straight yet , ut I and my husband believe that he had learned and improved his speaking skills at Mahurangi Kindergarten. The teacher's allowed him to develop his Leadership Skills too by assigning him task like calling other kids in the morning before mat time. By giving him this opportunity to lead, he feels Belongingness. Based on my son's experience so far at Mahurangi Kindergarten, he didn't go home disappointed and sad because other kids didn't include him in playing instead the kids told him that he doesn't have a friend and he is not allowed to play with them ,this was his experienced after transferring to another Kindie. That's why he is always longing to go back to Mahu Kindie. However, we relocated to another place. He's looking forward now going to his primary school that gives the same warm atmosphere like Mahu Kindie. We're very grateful to all teachers, relievers, and staff of Mahurangi Kindergarten. We give them 10/10 a perfect score. This Kindie is a friendly, inclusive kindergarten for everyone. Highly recommend. Thank you so much. Jon always remembers his teachers who helped him grow.”

“My daughter goes to Oaktree and absolutely loves it. Such a beautiful environment- inside and out. The outside is like an oasis with beautiful trees and gardens. It is so spacious. The teachers are so nurturing, friendly and passionate. You feel a sense of belonging as soon as you walk in. Oaktree is like a second home. All teachers are fully qualified and first aid trained which as a parent is very comforting. She learns so much and love learning from her and the teachers too. “We love Sunnynook Kindy! The teachers are so friendly and always have a smile. They have been very supportive and understanding for the whole family, especially of our daughter's transition and toilet training. They are kind and caring and it feels like a home away from home for our daughter which makes drop off a lot easier. They have great communication with parents and we feel confident she is in safe hands. We wish we could give more stars and would highly recommend to everyone.”

    Grey Lynn Kindergarten

    ★★★★★ 5 Open

“Our son has been going here for almost a year now and he absolutely loves it. The large outdoor play area and lovely flow from the house to the garden is so lovely. The kaiako (teachers) are genuinely caring, experienced, and incredibly attentive to each child’s personality and needs. The learning environment is calm, nurturing, and full of opportunities to explore — both inside and in their beautiful outdoor area. We also love how much the kaiako have a wide variety of different and new activities, both indoor and outdoor, every day! The activities cater to the children’s individual interests (in our son’s case, water play, sand and trucks) while also piquing their interest in new things. The activities also encourage connection with nature and local culture. I really love how they do things to give the kids something to look forward to - snow days, bringing in the local fire truck, puppet shows, marae visits, as well as more practical safety education like what to do in an earthquake and personal safety/body awareness. The kindy has a real community feel — it’s not just a drop-off, it’s a place where families are part of something meaningful. There’s a whanau group and Storypark where we get regular updates and stories, it’s great for keeping the grandparents who are overseas involved in what my son gets up to. It’s also particularly special knowing this kindy has been around for over 100 years! A true treasure in Grey Lynn. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a kind, inclusive, and enriching early learning experience.”
