“The best primary school in the area, possibly the country!”
“My children have had the thankful opportunity to be involved in the waterwise programme held at this school on the pupuke lake.”
“Fantastic place, brilliant staff”
“Good facilities , it operates well for the community with interesting events and close to Devonport”
“Be there a few times for performance or seminars. It may look obsolete in terms of architecture/interior, but the acoustic effects are still stunning. My only complaint is the seats. It's reasonable comfortable. When it gets pushed straight, somewhere the metal parts make a very loud bang sound.”
“One of the best schools in New Zealand. Their students are kind , polite and smart. They have very good academic NCEA results and high entrance university rates. The school is very nice and clean , equipped with excellent facilities e.g. swimming pool, tennis courts.”
“Overall really good experience. I came out as a changed person after 5 years of working in the coal mines. Really makes you a strong person and gives you a high pain tolerance due to constant whipping and mining. - especially on whipping Wednesday. 10/10 and bring your kids as will set them up for a good career of top mining.”
“An awesome programme for kids of all ages. My daughter has loved it from age 5 to 10. She has become confident on stage and had fun along the way working with other kids. A cool programme”
“Great school, wonderful teacher. Floral Design: Perfect Posies with Fresh Spring Blooms”
“Eliette's is a great music school. Wonderful people, energy and teaching. It exceeded my expectations by a long way. Definitely recommended.”
“A fun place for watching quirky local shows or established artists "slumming it" for intimate gigs. There's usually a great selection of wines and beers on offer and the programme shifts often enough to keep you coming back.”
“I have just started on the group classes under Kacie Stetson on a weekly basis. After studying under different teachers I have at last found training that involves great tools to use. Kacie is an amazing teacher! she kicks your arse but her tough love is what gets the goods...you can trust Kacie to guide you on your journey of development. She brings her fabulicious energy and passion to her teaching! Highly recommended.”
“I'm Evelyn and I've had the utter delight and privilege of taking Levels One and Two with Juliet Furness this year, and I could not be more grateful. Her approach to teaching the art of acting is unique, insightful, surprising, playful and effective. The classes are more like master classes in what it means to be an authentic human being. I have felt empowered, invigorated and inspired by her classes. She makes everyone feel valued and included. She is enthusiastic, frank, generous and fully present with us. I felt quite bereft at the end of each term... missing my weekly fix of community, of risk taking, of growing as a human being and of feeling safe as well as challenged. I have signed up for Level Three now and I may well go back and do all three levels again next year. They each offer different gifts that complement each other, and some refreshingly different adjustments. Juliet's classes sneak up on you in the way they enhance your acting skills..... i am reminded of working with an Alexander technique body worker, who suggested that in my goal to achieve a straighter back and a more open ribcage I should forget about pulling my shoulders back and forcing myself into a more upright and military type posture because all this would achieve would be more muscular tension elsewhere. Instead she suggested i imagine a 'clavicle smile'.....simply imagining a friendly smile across my collar bone and this transformed my walk and my posture and Juliet achieves similar transformations that happen simply because one learns to get out of one's own way, allowing change to blossom naturally from within! So i think that summarises what Juliet's classes teach..... to trust one's own humanity. Rather than trying to impose some technique onto oneself.”
“OMG! We just finished watching the most amazing improv show ever with Paul and his incredible team of actors! Wow — thank you so much for making our evening soooo funny! You guys absolutely rocked it — we laughed so much my cheeks are still frozen from smiling and laughing! If you haven’t seen them yet, seriously, go check out one of their classes or shows — it’s pure joy, energy, and laughter from start to finish! We loooved it sooooooo much !”
“Beautiful venue and great service. An asset to the dance community.”

“Friendly atmosphere. Excellent show. Starts slow then quickly builds into hilarious mayham.”
“We went to the Billy Joel show on Saturday evening. It was absolutely superb - the quality of the musicians and singers far exceeded our expectations. The added bonus of a "supper" was a treat. This group should tour the country and beyond with this show. Great energy.”
“Was Girls and Boys worth getting stuck in hour long traffic - absolutely. Simplistic yet effective staging and lighting were transformative and poignant. The dialogue sharp and witty with the lead actress blazing through a series of difficult emotions and heavy themes with flexibility and tastefulness. I'm not normally one for a one woman show - but what a show it was!”
“My 9-year-old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Drawing & Sketching class (Tue 3:45-5:15) with Maree. Learning to depict objects with pencil sketching added a technical dimension to her artistic skills. It was a great class for a 9-year-old who loves drawing, providing more advanced content rather than simplistic children's drawings. This class is highly recommended for kids who love drawing and want to boost their skills.”
“Great theatre. Good play and d acting. Very comfortable”
“Lovely intimate theatre. The quality of the play I saw there (Grand Horizons) was fantastic. The set design was incredible and the acting was practically professional level. The price of the ticket was very reasonable, and there is a bar that you can buy drinks and snacks from. A great night out, would highly recommend.”
“Great ice creams and excellent coffee in a real china cup. Didn't try the Afghan biscuit but it was only $4 and huge. Great ambience.”
“Love this theatre! Staff always so friendly and the whole place has a great vibe ✨️ ☺️”
“Loved my night at the basement theatre watched survive with Adam Burrell best show!”
