“A long hard slog, but now, after 19 years I am still thrilled with the experience of the method of training. It was HARD but I learnt heaps about my personality, my response to the techniques I learnt, and the support given to me ( and ALL students) was one of the best experiences I ever had....hard at the time, but appreciate it now! This week I have been working with a P30something teacher and I fully realised how efficient our teaching is compared with folk from other providers. Unfortunately I was not able to graduate thru NZGSE, but the day I graduated from my training in Chch I never looked back. Enjoy your weeks at NZGSE....it's worth the tears and laughter! “My paragliding journey started with a wonderful tandem flight with Grey Hamilton, the head honcho at Cloudbase Paragliding in Christchurch, and I fell in love with paragliding straight away. I decided to go to another company in Queenstown (just for the scenery) to start my paragliding training, but really didn't enjoy the teaching methods there so I came back to Christchurch to finish my training and become a qualified paraglider pilot. And I'm so glad I did! For starters, the scenery in Christchurch is also beautiful, but while you're learning you're concentrating so much you don't really think about that. What is much more important is what, and how you learn. Grey and his assistant instructors are very experienced, and they teach with care, patience, and with safety at the forefront. Also, (unlike in QT) they really love what they're doing, and I was never made to feel like I was wasting the instructor's time when it took me a while to learn something new. Grey also teaches all the necessary theory, from the physics of flying, to airspace law, to meteorology, and helps you through all the exams you need to pass to qualify. Having recently been awarded my licence, I feel super confident to explore NZ with my new gear (which Grey very kindly sourced for me at a discount price) ready to put my new skills into practice. And now I can enjoy all that beautiful scenery with no stress! Thanks to everyone at Cloudbase! :)”

“This place is amazing. Their learn to swim programme runs like a well oiled machine. I love the pay by the month system, rather than by the term. It meant that my child could move up a class when the instructors thought he was ready, rather than waiting until the end of the term. Great instructors and there are people always watching the children's progress.”

“Our daughter attended Kindercare-Addington for over a year, starting in the Tui Room and later moving to the Pukeko Room. We couldn’t be happier with the care and support she received. The teachers have been so accommodating to her needs — from helping with potty training to teaching her songs, and basic facts that toddler should know. One thing that really impressed us is how well they encouraged healthy eating habits. Our daughter now enjoys vegetables and fruits that many parents struggle to get their kids to eat — like carrots, cucumber, capsicum, and even onions! From the very first day I visited, I noticed how well the school maintains cleanliness and hygiene, which was a major deciding factor in enrolling my toddler. It’s been wonderful to watch her grow in confidence, skills, and healthy habits during her time here. Sadly, we have to move her to another preschool due to our recent house move, but we are very grateful for everything that Kindercare-Addington has done for our daughter. Highly recommended!”

“I wasn't overly keen on the little one going to day care, those exhausting years ago. But then the little one started and I was needed to do drop off and pick up increasingly for a while. The staff have some sorta knack with kids. My treasure of a child helps them, even informs them of the time and how to go about the required tasks. They have almost become her second home. She has blossomed so much and learning so much about being a good person, sharing toys beds mat time what ever. Learning about compassion for her class mates. This centre has been the best choice for out little treasure mostly due to the staff their patience under standing and willingness to push for that next step in development. I don't know who will be saddest about the eventual moving on to school the staff the little one or the wife and I.”

“Our family loves Annabels, it’s a safe, caring and fun environment for our daughter to learn in! She loves it so much she asks to go to preschool every time we drive past. The teaching staff are wonderful, and are very supportive they welcome you and your child every morning with a smile. It has the rural feel and are keeping the old childhood traditions alive remembered by the parents when they were young. Would 100% recommend.”

“Both of my boys attend Annabels New Brighton and have since around 1 year old. I feel happy leaving the kids in a safe environment, well staffed & provides great learning and activities to keep them occupied. The teachers are qualified & really build a great rapport with the children.”

“I only have good things to say about Annabel’s - we absolutely love it! Our daughter started in the nursery, then the pre-k & is currently in the kindy, and truly thrives there. The teachers are outstanding- so caring, fun & organised, and have been so amazing helping my daughter transition to each room. There are so many fun activities - singing, dancing, arts, crafts, outdoor fun + more. My son has just started in the nursery & I am excited for him to be starting his Annabel’s journey.”

“Over a two week period I have completed the PG1 and PG2 course then passed my Paramotoring course through Parapro - with Dave. The course exceeded my expectations. Over the two week period I observed that Dave is the most experienced instructor in Christchurch (due to his age and time flying) his mannerism is both calming and reassuring, which made him an awesome instructor. I came away with the confidence to continue flying on my own. Hopefully for many years to come. So if its been on your bucket list, give Dave a ring - you won't be disappointed!
