“Excellent! This shop is impressed with attentive service, nice atmosphere, and delicious food. The appetizer and main course were standouts. Overall, it is recommended.”
“AMAZING FOOD. Such a beautiful place! Gorgeous lighting, big brick walls, so gorgeous. Smiling service. Definitely want to go back again! Great menu too, so hard to decide as it all sounds soo good! I had the holoumi salad with smoked salmon it was delicious!!”
“I went there to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and it was absolutely worth it. Spending time here was such a great experience. The food, the people, everything was fabulous. The seafood platter and feast were especially delicious, and the place has a really nice view. If you have a party coming up, I would definitely recommend this place!”
“Absolutely worth the drive from town. Feels like an overseas holiday. Delicious food and drink, helpful service. The kind of place you'd bring a friend from out of town. Will be back!”
“Ordered a chai latte and chocolate cake and was very impressed! Chocolate cake was a generous serving, moist, and came with a dollop of sprinkle-topped cream :) And the chai was the best I've had at a cafe within memory - not too sweet, and strong flavour. Cafe was quiet but had nice seating area - Highly recommend”
“This was my second time in Ora bistro through First Table booking. The food was excellent and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff were extremely friendly and brought out the dish quite quickly. We will definitely be back and try the other options on their menu.”
“I love The Patriot, it’s easily my second-favourite spot to enjoy a cold, refreshing beverage on a sunny afternoon. (First place goes to my lounge when the All Blacks are on.) I’m a proud regular, usually popping in once or twice a week to take advantage of a good 2 for 1 deal and some great food. But for the love of all things holy, please don’t change the rib sauce. I’m not sure if it was just tonight and my taste buds were having an identity crisis, but something tasted different. Those ribs are usually perfection and I frequently advertise them as the best ribs on the shore, so if there’s been a tweak to that glorious sauce, I’m begging you, bring it back!”
“Fast and yum and great staff ! Fairly priced. Specials sounds good. I be back for them :)”
“had some lovely vegan pizzas, beautiful wine and a lovely chat with the owner. Best pizza crust, you will eat more than you intended! We highly recommend.”
“Excellent burgers. Slightly oversalted fries but the burger was spot on. Crispy edges with a juicy center, great balance of flavors, and the bun held everything together without getting soggy. The best burger in devonport”
“Discovered this gem while in AKL on business, staying at the Heartland Airport Hotel. 5 min walk (free off street parking available side of cafe) extensive menu, clean & tidy. Everything made in-house except the pies. I ordered from the cabinet “to go” a large savoury scone, raspberry lamington, low carb vege frittata with side salad & coffee. Covered lunch & dinner all for $25! Tasty food, good coffee, all staff welcoming & delightful service from Morris - will return on my next business trip.”
“Incredible food. Ever since trying their ricotta ravioli I've been thinking about it at least once a week. Their entire menu sounds amazing and their cocktails are super reasonably priced (and taste great). Fantastic service too. Can't fault a thing.”
“Been a fan of this place for years the music on most nights is great hidden gem is upstairs to the right of the toilets along with 3 other cool spaces to share a beer with your mates never once have I seen any drama door staff do a great job. Safe place to get a glow on”
“My friend had popped over from Melbourne and was staying at the Park Hyatt so we decided to come here. A very good choice we made. The service was very quick and the drinks and food was top notch. We had The Hail Mary (Philly cheese steak) and The fried chicken burger with a couple of drinks. The fries that came with the food was crispy but soft inside and Steak Sandwich was superb. It was a bit loud but the music was great. All in all we had a good evening out.”
“A cozy open spot at Royal Oak. Had a delicious flat white with coffee art of a swan. Nice open top area and was relatively busy.”
“Had experience like fine dinning restaurant. Foods look so nice and taste delicious. Good service Highly recommend Will be back for sure”
“Great venue and staff. A trek down some steep stairs but I've attended some great gigs here. Usually good sound. Toilets can be hard to access when packed and it can get very warm but I still find it a great spot.”
“From the moment you walk in Reign and Pour brings a solid upbeat and relaxed vibe. The staff are friendly and incredibly attentive. The food.... Oh my goodness, so good. I had the stuffed chicken which was so well balanced in terms of flavour profile. My partner had the steak and said "this is the best steak I've had in quite some time." To share we also grabbed the cauliflower bites which were perfectly salted and crispy. We'll be back for sure!”
“Walked in to have a drink on a sunny Sunday lunch - but also ended up ordering food from White and Wong’s. boa bun, dumplings, papaya salad and they were all absolutely delicious! Away from the louder restaurants further on the wharf but still with a nice chilled atmosphere. Waiter was friendly and attentive.”
“What a lovely place. From the moment we walked in we were made welcome and given a menu straight away. Our server was very attentive and makes a decent coffee too (definitely a bonus). The staff are so kind too - I witnessed 2 of them helping an older gentleman into his chair. The food is lovely and hot. On our most recent visit we had creamy mushrooms and a breakfast buttie. I loved how the house rosti was shaped like a birds nest. The house soda is also very refreshing. I am definitely going back.”
“The Paw Bar and Eatery is a fantastic place to come with family/friends/a date or even on your own! The twinkling lights with all the beautiful plants make you feel like you are in a tropical resort. The staff are an absolute gem- super friendly and quick! There is a lot of space to sit outdoor or indoors. They have great events such as trivia and live music. I hosted a staff party there and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. The doggy menu is also obviously a huge plus and they always have many board games. Sizzling skewers are now a new highlight, which you cannot find anywhere else in the hood! I highly recommend swinging by. Cheers!”
“I've been to this cafe a few times before, but I stopped coming because I felt like the portions were getting smaller and the staff seemed unenthusiastic. I recently heard it changed owners and wanted to check it out. I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very warm and friendly, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion size was generous—I usually can't finish a plate this big. Of course, this is a new start with the new ownership, and I hope they can keep it up. All in all, there are so many cafes in Auckland, and not every one makes you want to go back.”
“we tried this place first time approx 1 month ago. Ever since the first visit, this place became our weekly routine. It's that good. Both dinner and brunch menu is excellent, super friendly service and very kids friendly (my daughter love their kids combo). I'm sure we will continue visit here more. Perhaps the only complaint is we wish there's more mocktail selection for the non-alcoholic drinkers :)”
“Just a fabulous, clean and tidy environment to relax and enjoy the well maintained garden outside. I love visiting because the staff are consistently friendly, welcoming and the fantastic range of beverages and food keep me and my friends coming back for more. Highly recommended.”
“1st time eating here and 1st impression is great. Love the breaded chicken pasta with pesto cream!❤️❤️❤️”
“Place of good food with nice environment and one side lake. There are hips of car parking. There entrance are very wheelchair and strollers friendly. They have lots of entrance and entry options. This is the great place for buffet or party or conference with staying in there hotels. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They just cleaned the tables within seconds. You don’t worry about used plates. All staffs are very responsive. They will give you super first for your services.”
“Heard so much about the Steak & Guinness Pie that we had to try it out. Hubby had the large one, me the small. Both did not disappoint and both were ample servings. Flakey puff pastry sealed over the top of a bowl of steaming hot steak filling, served with crispy beer battered chips and a green salad. Tasty and very well-priced. Great pub, awesome staff.”
“We booked a table via First Table, so was able to get a good deal for a table of 4. We ordered the Pan-Roasted Lamb Rump and Butcher's Cut Steak. The food came out quickly and it was very tasty. Basalt is nicely layed out, with one corner for dining, another area where you can watch live sport and have drinks. As well as an upstairs area with music”
“Had an awesome time here! The staff were super friendly and on point, the service couldn’t have been better. The food was fantastic—full of flavour and beautifully presented. Definitely a place we’re going back to!”
