Ordered the Thai ‘Duck’Salad and was really disappointed. The duck was tough and chewy more like beef jerky than tender duck as described on the menu. For $22.90, I expected better quality. The rest of the salad was fine, but the duck was a let down I should have just ordered a normal salad??
I used to come here a lot and always loved their Egg Benedict. A few weeks ago, I visited again and ordered the same dish, but it was horrible — no original taste at all. I thought maybe the old chef was on leave, so I gave it another chance today. Unfortunately, I found out that the ownership has changed, and it’s a complete mess now. Poor customer service, below-average food, and I even had stomach issues right after leaving. The only positive was seeing the same hardworking Asian lady from the previous ownership, still giving her best despite everything. Sadly, this will be my last visit. I truly miss the old Sierra food and vibe.
Discovered this gem while in AKL on business, staying at the Heartland Airport Hotel. 5 min walk (free off street parking available side of cafe) extensive menu, clean & tidy. Everything made in-house except the pies. I ordered from the cabinet “to go” a large savoury scone, raspberry lamington, low carb vege frittata with side salad & coffee. Covered lunch & dinner all for $25! Tasty food, good coffee, all staff welcoming & delightful service from Morris - will return on my next business trip.
Third time is a charm! First two times I attempted to come they were closed due to family commitments. Decor is beautiful, feels very private inside and modern. Food is fresh and hot, and the coffee is excellent - a perfect mix.

Reasonable coffee however salmon frittata was very lacking for the price. When I bit into it there was a small piece of salmon on the top and that was it! Polite service. Maybe the other food options are better?
We were looking for a brunch place while travelling through New Zealand and came across this place on Google Maps. We were incredibly impressed and satisfied with the food and service. I got the Brioche French Toast which was light, fluffy, and balanced, and my wife got the mushroom and spinach omelette which was fantastic. The ambience was great as well - we got the window-side seats with the lovely and soft armchairs, and the music playing was lighthearted and happy without overpowering the conversation. Overall one of the best brunch spots I've come across - simple but they do what they do really well.
Nice place. Good service. Has outdoor seating. Plenty of parking.
