We waited more than 30 minutes for our food and even longer for our drinks. Eventually, we found out that the chef and barista were the same person. While this was a Sunday around noon, the cafe was almost empty, which unfortunately, was understandable given the experience. We ordered a banana loaf, which arrived burnt. The playground area looked old and dirty, and we did not feel it was safe or hygienic enough to let our child play there. To make matters worse, the tap water was served in a bottle that had mouldy green spots inside, which is completely unacceptable. I understand that local businesses need support, especially during challenging times, but basic hospitality and food standards should still be met. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience in both service and food quality. If a business cannot provide basic hygiene and hospitality, it seriously raises the question of whether it should be operating at all.

I went back after having good memories from a few years ago, but honestly, it was disappointing. Even though it was in the morning and the place was nearly empty, the food took a long time to come out, and the drinks only arrived when we were almost done eating. The food itself was just ok, so I don’t think I’ll be coming back anytime soon. But if you’re simply looking for a quiet café to have a chat, it’s not a bad option.

Food & service was ok some of the rice in the bibimbap tasted like it wasn’t cooked through and the taste was not that great. Their fries and Ice matcha was good though. Overall it’s an ok place, clean and tidy. Dishes on tables are cleared as soon as customers leave which is good.

The food was good/average. The menu had a nice selection. The cabinet was filled with nice looking stuff. We ordered the pancake tower, the big oak breakfast, an coffee frappe and a tropical smoothie. The Big Oak Breakfast was a little of a let down. The sausages weren't very grilled, the bread was too thick which was too soft and not very toasted, the parsley topping that was on top was so concentrated on the placement that its all that you could taste. There wasn't anything sauce wise, and no baked beans- so it made the meal feel quite dry. The rest of the food on this big breakfast was okay, but it is a little pilled up on top of each other- it would be nice to have it more spread out. The pancake tower was a little different than you might expect. The tower was of two thick pancakes. the presentation made me think of a souffle pancake- but its actually more cakey, and slightly on the dryer side. The compote and mascarpone were lovely. The seasonal fruits were a good selection. While it tasted good overall the texture of the pancake might not be for everyone- personally I liked it. The coffee frappe was good, with a nice strong coffee taste. The tropical smoothie was very refreshing with a nice zing from the pineapple. Overall it was average for price, the meal was filling, and the staff were nice. The only thing I might add is the tables are VERY sticky! Please take some time maybe before or after hours to thoroughly clean the table tops- it adds to a better experience

Through a number of owners & Covid fortunately the food has remained Interesting & of high standard & the service has remained very pleasant.. staffing remaining an interesting struggle for the majority of businesses.. Would recommend & especially to support local businesses..( the atmosphere is clean but simple & wifi is a problem due to being in a mall )

Poor service and atmosphere. We waited 10 minutes for coffees and when we approached the person at the counter no apology as she had clearly forgotten and she was not busy. It was 3 pm and the cafe closed at 4 pm and another staff member was vacuuming nearby tables, hardly welcoming. We got a refund for our coffees and left. We cannot recommend this cafe.

A cozy open spot at Royal Oak. Had a delicious flat white with coffee art of a swan. Nice open top area and was relatively busy.

Been looking for a regular breakfast spot close by to where I live currently. Ordered the smashed avo on toast with added oak smoked salmon and an americano. Food was really good. Freshly prepared and in a large enough portion. Coffee was good. Staff were friendly, polite and pleasant. Will be back and will hopefully have the same experience!

Such a good experience! Staff were very friendly and lovely! There was abit of wait on food but cafe was packed out which is definitely a good sign. Coffees and good were delicious we will be back. It is hidden in the mall but it is well set up with plenty of seating area. Also, not often do you have a conversation with a staff member and after the lovely chat you then find out he’s the owner! So it’s not often you ever find the owner running the whole floor during very busy rush.
