“I don't really write reviews but Krista-lee did such an insanely amazing job with my hair yesterday I felt I had to leave her 5 stars! I am always quite nervous when going to a new hairdresser but she knew exactly what i was attempting to request (without even showing her a photo), she made some great recommendations based on my natural colour and skin tone, was extremely thorough and took her time with me and the results were beautiful! I often find people take more off the length than i would have liked but the cut was 100% perfect and the colour is so gorgeous. Super stoked to have found my new hairdresser in Auckland :)”

“We chose private hire of party kingdom, not only was it clean, safe and it was a cool temperature during a hot day, they went above and beyond setting up two parties rooms and Eve the owner setup an extra party room as a disco room which was a hit, I found the price extremely cheap and lucky for what we were provided, the service was amazing and run by a local family. If you want real effort and real service this is the place to go as I will be telling everyone. We plan parties for children everyday this is our life I decided I couldn’t do it this year as it’s our job and it was the least stressful birthday I have ever had, We were very fortunate and my kids can’t wait to do this again. Eve and Adam have created such a wonderful place for families I couldn’t recommend it more. Edit: Reading the bad reviews below on what people are complaining about really hits home, this is a family run business not a corporation, businesses cost money, us family run businesses can’t afford multiple staff, I feel like some people nothing still ever be good enough, people need a reality check. Eve juggled so many people at our party and everyone was actually over the moon. Don’t spend $9 and complain about it what is wrong with you people.”

“Traveled from South Auckland to bring our son here for his birthday based off the great reviews and his love for crepes. Specifically only came for that one dish, the crepes, and man they didn't disappoint! The crepes were flavorful! Very tasty! Price is reasonable I spose. Service was great, She always had a smile, kept water topped up, greeted and farewells us. Made us feel comfortable being Hori's in a boujee environment lol Atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Beautiful view. Going back to try the meals on the menu. Highly recommended the crepes!!”

“Great little store with a variety of action figures and collectibles. Surprised to find Xenomorph NECA line and just had to pick up this amazing NECA Kenner line Rhino Alien. Store staff was super friendly and obviously a huge sci-fi fan as well. If you’re looking for collectibles especially horror oriented, FUNKO or Neca, can’t go wrong going here:)”

I don’t need to buy much but decided to order through you for some Christmas shopping. I had a delightful experience. I opted to collect my items and didn’t have to wait any longer than a minute!!! I was blown away by the efficiency. The girl whom I spoke to, I believe her name was Sadie, was very kind and we shared a laugh. All the workers roaming around were very welcoming and respectful. “The Shelf is such a charming coffee shop! The decor is super cute, with unique and quirky items displayed on every shelf, giving it a cozy and fun vibe. They offer light snacks and some creative coffee options—like the sesame coffee, which I regret not trying. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, definitely a bit different from other coffee shops. It’s a lovely spot to hang out or even do some work on your laptop. As for the coffee itself, it’s good, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the unique ambiance!”

Although they don't have chips/fries, their rosti is definitely the better replacement. Very accessible being adjacent to the train station as well as having plenty of parking spaces. “I come here almost every morning. Great food and coffee, nice staff, kind and helpful. Pet friendly. I must say recently this Month an elder man had an episode (seizure, heart attack, I don’t know exactly what it was) and dropped all the tableware. The staff quickly gave him space and supported him. They cleaned it up the place, called the ambulance and the owner/ manager kept the old man’s company talking to him and calming him until the ambulance arrived. It’s not only a business but a great place with incredible human beings.”

“I love reading books and this is a store with… BOOKS! Of course I’m going to give it five stars. No, but really not every book store is created equally and some can be quite bad, but this one has basically all the books you need. They’re grouped in categories to make it easier to find the one you want. When I came here to buy a book for someone, I asked a staff member where I could find it and they were really helpful, even explaining the difference between the original version and a young adults version of the book. Apart from books they also have a lot of other things like stationary, games and toys. It’s a great store for getting ideas for presents because it has such a variety of things.”
