   Do NOT go here!!! I'm not one to usually give reviews but If i can I'd like to save people some grief. First of all the price. I'll get further into it but I was mislead with a post of hers on here that said $100 for Mani&Pedi. I asked for a french on both. She said $30 extra for the art. So I assumed it's still for both. So $130.. still pricey but reasonable. Then came the experience. From photos thought it would be an actual studio.. but was her house. Still had high hopes as I hadn't had my nails done and wanted to treat myself. Just from her doing my toes I could see the experience and quality of french wasn't going to be good also a lack of communication... but gave her the benefit of the doubt seeing as it's probably been a long day for the both of us. Moving onto my Hands.. I asked for Almond shape as my nails were still quite long. But during the shaping process I reluctantly (nicely) had to keep asking her to file them more... because she had them looking wonky and they ended up being more Round than Almond. Ontop of having to tell her how to file nails she was not happy being told what to do. It made me feel awkward for asking when I shouldn't have to feel that way. She could avoid this by simply checking with customers asking "Is this okay" through each stage. But like i said little to no communication. Then came to trimming of cuticles. 4 of my fingers bled.. was a very painful experience. (See photos attached) At this point I just wanted it over and done with so I could go home. She started painting the french from the inspo photo i gave her. (See inspo photo attached) And after 3 tries said she can't do it that it wont be up to my expectation. I clarified with her if shes able to do a french. She said yes. So i said okay then do it your way. She reluctantly agreed.. then changed her technique for painting a french. All seemed to be going back on track... but during this process she kept getting hairs and fluff in my nails from unclean work area. Then came to drawing the flowers(very simple daisies) I was not impressed.. and my hands weren't symmetrical at all they were very badly drawn. I myself could do a better job at home if i had the time. Again, no communication, and i just wanted to get out of there. Then after a nice cuticle and hand massage she said "so thats $225 " I clarified with her that i had been mislead from her page that said $100 for a mani and pedi and was very confused how it's $225?! She said it's from 4 years ago and so i asked her why she hasn't deleted it then. And she made excuses saying it's not hers or something? So I clarified asking shes the only worker here (it's at her own house) she said yes... So she IS able to delete it, at this stage I knew I caught her in a lie. She then contradicted herself 5 times saying different prices each time. I had my calculator out 1st was $140, then $170, $165, $180, $225 and so on... I was not happy. Knew she was scamming me. She also tried more excuses saying she spent 3hrs?? like it's not my fault you cant do a french. Saying she checked with her friends that they are also charging this price. I told her "thats crazy. If I knew this was your prices I wouldn't have even come here in the first place." Safe to say I'm not going to go back there and you shouldn't either! Hope this review helped!

   Have never had gel done before but had a week of wedding events so I decided to try Gentle Pink after reading reviews. I booked quite late in advance but Nicole managed to fit me in on a weekend and was helpful with choosing a design. One week later and they’re still looking great :) UPDATE post removal I removed one star as they advertise on their Instagram that removal is free but then they don’t state that it’s only if you re-do your manicure with them. As someone who hasn’t done gel before (and regularly does not get their nails done) this isn’t common knowledge to me so it would have been nice to know beforehand. Also my nails are quite thin after the removal and you can definitely see the scratches and the discolouration which is not so great. Would still recommend but knowing these things in advance would have been nice.

   I want to start off by saying that the whole experience was such a treat! The salon is immaculate and you'll be spoilt for choice with all the amazing designs. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and go for something a bit bolder than usual - a bejewelled set. Nicole is such a talented artist! She spent time discussing the design I picked and she customised the pattern and colour to make sure the results would match the shape of my nails and my skin tone. Her craft is delicate and precise. The girls at Gentle Pink genuinely care about the quality of their work so you'd never feel like they're rushing. I'm so impressed with the outcome! To finish off, I got a hot towel and and a luxurious oil massaged into my hands. I walked out feeling so pampered! A 5 out of 5 experience - can't wait to visit again and try some other designs!
