“We had a wonderful time here. It's a beautiful building, well set out. The hosts were enthusiastically helpful and the free breakfast was generous. I appreciated the evidence of sustainable practice, including the basket of free-range eggs during breakfast. My bed was surprisingly comfortable. It's a unique venue and a delight to stay in, but Noah and the other staff were the real stars of the experience, truly exceptional!”

“Nicola looked after our Lorikeet Lowri for 6 weeks, while we were overseas. Nicola looked after Lowri with kindness and interest, as well as a very professional approach. Nicola kept us in regular touch with how our pet was getting on, and put a lot of extra effort into making sure she was comfortable, had the right food and had opportunities to exercise and get some stimulation. We were delighted with the care our bird received and would certainly recommend Nicola and Creature Comforts Sanson to any bird owner.”

Lottie was so absolutely over the moon to see Luca again that I knew signing her up for Welly Dogs was the right decision. I have absolute peace of mind that Lottie is safe, taken care of and having an absolute blast when she is in the care of Welly Dogs. “What a wonderful place to stay in Wellington. We stayed here for two nights and were extremely satisfied. The welcome was warm, and the owners were very friendly. The room had a private bathroom down the hall and a personal fridge in another room. All facilities were adequately provided. The owner joins you for breakfast in the morning, which always led to enjoyable conversations. The B&B also has a fantastic view of the bay; you're right by the water. We parked our car on the street near the B&B for two nights, which was safe and, of course, cost nothing. To get to Wellington Center, you'll need an Uber or taxi.”

“Our company sends people to Wellington most months. We find Terrace Villas the most practical place to stay. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. We are easily able to conduct our business from the apartments and the management is ready to help with anything we need - we often hold meetings with our clients and they find the surroundings pleasant and relaxed. “I was really nervous to send my doggie back to daycare after some bad experiences at other places that have had lasting (probably lifetime) consequences. My pup has some anxieties, fears and isn’t always confident in life which sometimes translates to misunderstood reactivity. Paw Palace took extra time and effort to understand my worries, walk me through their days and process. They also never once had any judgement about his past or his breed. They have clearly given him so much love and support because he absolutely loves it there, always rushes in without hesitation and is never too exhausted when he gets home. I’ve only had reports of him being a good boy, that he’s really come out of his shell and with no behavioural issues! I’ve noticed a huge improvement in his socialising, he is reading other dogs much more appropriately and is super responsive with his recall! We’ve even been able to go back to off-lead areas again and he’s warming up to strangers more quickly too. Thank you again for all your hard work, I’m really proud of how far he has come and the dog he’s grown up to be :)”

The staff share photos on their Facebook page during the stay, and provide a detailed run down on how they went when you pick them up. Very dog-focused, which we really valued. “If you are looking for a doggy daycare I highly recommend the dog garden. The super friendly staff are amazing with all breeds of dogs, they care for them like their own and the area is great for the dogs to run around but also socialise, learning and developing their senses. They are not locked in kennels at all like most daycares which isn’t fair on the dog. They also do photos throughout the day so you know how your baby doggy is doing! Only love for this place ❤️❤️❤️”

“I cannot recommend Gone to the Dogs Kennels and Cattery in Judgeford highly enough! They went above and beyond to accommodate a last-minute booking over Christmas for my golden retriever, Bailey, and also took fantastic care of my two British Shorthair cats, Rocket and Ivy. The facilities are absolutely top-notch, clean, and well-maintained. The team’s customer service is simply amazing—they were so friendly, understanding, and genuinely cared about my pets’ well-being. A huge thank you to the staff for making this experience stress-free and ensuring my pets were so well cared for. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!”

“Our stay at Sofitel Wellington was absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They were full of local knowledge and pointed us toward some fantastic nearby attractions, which really enhanced our visit. The location was perfect — close to plenty of activities and great places to explore, all within easy walking distance. We also thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the hotel; the food was outstanding and truly one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, we had such a memorable experience at Sofitel Wellington. Thank you to the entire team for your warm hospitality and exceptional service — we can’t wait to return!”

“HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! This was the first time our fur baby's have been away from us so I wanted to make sure I was looking for the perfect place to make them feel safe, happy and well cared for. This place ticked all the boxes and did not disappoint, I can't thank Cindi & Kelvin enough for looking after my pups, when I picked them up they were happy, cheerful, clean and full of life as i had left them. My boy isn't very fond of the dark and they catered to his needs with no issues at all. They are both welcoming and wonderful people who know their stuff, my dogs now have a home away from home that I can trust. Thank you again :)”

“We LOVED this cottage - what a find!! We've been living in Wellington for years and never knew about it, so now, returning as visitors, we were absolutely stoked - great facilities, vibe, and location for the price. Actually surprisingly quiet too, considering the main road behind the cottage. Would recommend for someone wanting to be super central, but have a cosy feel and autonomy to make their own food.”

“We spent a night at the motel and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was an affordable and comfortable option. Spare blankets were available,the sheets were of a good quality and the room was warm. We slept peacefully and I love the country setting. A nice swimming pool is available which would be fun to use in the warmer months. It was a great location for us being near the Cape Palliser Lighthouse,the Pinnacles and Lake Ferry. The hosts were friendly and told us about things we could see and do. Hopefully we can return next year!”

“Easy check-in. The room was very nice with a retro style. The bathroom was HUGE, the shower was a great size with a fold down seat and a washer / dryer combo machine. The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa is a 5 min walk and a must visit to see the Gallipoli: The Scale of Our War exhibition. Lots of restaurants close by! Parking can be tough to find!”
