   I recently visited Silver Steam Retreat to attend my friend’s daughter’s birthday, and I must say it was an excellent experience. The retreat is located in a very convenient and peaceful area, making it a perfect spot for celebrations and get-togethers. It features multiple well-designed halls suitable for various events, each spacious and beautifully maintained. The staff were courteous, professional, and always ready to help, ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout the event. Overall, Silver Steam Retreat offers a wonderful blend of comfort, ambiance, and great service, an ideal place for hosting memorable occasions. Highly recommended!

   We had our April 2025 wedding at the Grasslands venue within Silverstream Retreat and couldn't recommend it more! The Grasslands was everything we wanted for a ceremony and reception in one place. The events team were amazing, responsive, organised and friendly which took out a lot of the wedding planning stress. The food on the day (platters and buffet dinner) was great and they were able to cater to everyone's dietary requirements. Accommodation onsite was also a massive benefit for us as we had friends and family coming from out of town and Silvertstream had a room to suit everyone. Thanks so much George, Sheree, Leigh!!

   Me and my husband had our wedding at the Pillars. Leigh our event manager was amazing, very organized and communication was really good. She let us set up the venue the day before and the reception staff were so helpful. The venue was beautiful with the fire outside, white table cloths and cutlery on the tables. The wait staff and barman were really helpful and friendly. The food was so delicious and we had alot of compliments from our guests. Would highly recommend getting married here ☺️

   We stayed in a nice 3 bed Homestead at Silverstream Retreat as part of our honeymoon after marrying in NewZealand from Australia, it was such a lovely surprise to have more space than we expected. The unit was clean and nicely presented with a modern interior and gorgeous views. A thoughtful touch was the complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate our marriage, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel we received great customer service. The front desk experience was quite minimal—there was no real welcome or explanation I would have been nice to have a site map to see what was available here at the retreat, and we had to go back in to ask about breakfast options ourselves. We were also a little disappointed by the lack of a TV in the bedroom and no smart TV in the main lounge—being able to stream is something most guests expect these days. The supplied shampoo and conditioner also didn’t feel up to standard for the quality of the accommodation as I don’t believe a shampoo can be a hand wash and a conditioner can’t be a moisturiser two in one seems a cheap alternative. We also had old random dishwasher tablets that looked deteriorated and crumbled as I picked them up to use. Washing machine was a fantastic bonus, but soon noticed no washing detergent available to use it. Overall, it’s a peaceful location with lovely accommodation we loved how old the building is but how well it has been renovated, but a bit more attention to detail and guest experience would make a big difference.

   We stayed here for a sports trip at short notice and was a good option. Missing the tv in our room all set up but no TV. Communal showers nice and clean . Lots of space to move around and park vans. Location is good if based out in lower/upper hutt.

   We have been going to the Silverstream Retreat every few years for over a decade and it just gets better every time! Their renovations and improvements are wonderful! All they need now is a gym and a spa and they will be perfect!

   Perfect location for a getaway surrounded by nature but a 15 minute drive to local towns. The rooms are immaculate and have a warm cozy feel to them. The staff here are so Kind and cheerfully accommodating. Ive had a Wonderful stay here at Silverstream Retreat, would highly recommend

   recommend for events and spiritual gatherings I recently attended the Circle of Friends of Bruno Groening conference at Silverstream Retreat and it was an amazing experience. The location was perfect for our spiritual gathering, with serene surroundings and excellent facilities. The staff were extremely helpful and the catering was delicious. What impressed me the most was the variety of function rooms and wedding venues available at Silverstream Retreat. It's clear that they are well-equipped to host any kind of event, from small meetings to large celebrations. Overall, I highly recommend Silverstream Retreat for any event or gathering. Whether you're looking for a peaceful setting for a spiritual retreat or a stunning venue for a wedding, Silverstream Retreat is definitely worth considering.
