   Food is good!! À little more than your " standard" pub meal, but worth it!! A little noisy maybe, but the place was full. Always leave very satisfied. Warm bread with truffle butter is always a winner. Then lamb rump with harrisa carrots to completely fill you up! Generous servings.

   Went here for dinner with my wife and the food was great, staff were friendly and attentive, and we had a great time. Although I might have preferred the herb potatoes to be more crispy, at the end of the day, the Victoria Tavern offers g9d comfort food, done well.

   What a fab meal. Entrees were amazing. Calamari was some of the best we’ve had. Camembert with apricots etc, Devine. The mains were top class. Paella beautiful. And of course the donuts were sublime

   This is a nicely decorated pub with friendly and efficient service. Orders were promptly taken and meals came out relatively promptly. There were highlights and lowlights with the meals themselves. The Filipino-style pork was very nice. The prawns were plain and underwhelming, and the crispy squid was far from crispy. They were undercooked and very flabby. The Korean style beef short-rib with bok choy was delicious and a highlight of the meal. The duck was nice enough, although the potatoes and accompanying vegetables could do with more flavour and seasoning. The 'Pettit fours' were a complete letdown. Not only were the choices of Pettit fours bizarre (Snickers slice, lemon curd tart, and lemon melting moment), all three items were disgusting and inedible. In short, lovely service and a nice setting, let down by some inconsistent menu items.

   $2 Oyster Thursday’s… now $3. You can easily spend a lot of money here. Extensive gin & cocktail menu and good food. It’s a nice bar and always busy.

   We had a table of 7. Two of us had the fish and chips, the two pieces on each of our plates were a little bigger than fish fingers, the fish was nice but very small. The coleslaw was tasteless. The burgers where smaller than expected but tasty and the pork chop was dry and overcooked. It may have been dry due to not wanting to pay for the extras which boosts the cost quite high. The desserts were nice, we had donuts and cheesecake. The staff were really friendly

   Been here twice, both times for a birthday. I LOVE their food so much!! The place and atmosphere is so perfect and very chill. Their selection of food and drinks is just perfection! Staff are also very nice and friendly! Will be back again soon~

   Had a nice buzz on Tuesday and Saturday when we dined there. Great staff. Very friendly, accomadating and attentive. Food was lovely. Unfortunately, the food was served on cold plates, on both occasions, but that could be fixed?? Hence the 4 star on food. Yummy enough for sure. Loved the old photos of Petone in the decor. Felt relaxed there and a place we will return to.

   Great job on the pub’s makeover and was a pleasant environment. We enjoyed our dishes. My wagyu burger was not pink (as stated on menu) and was a bit on the dry side, chips were crunchy and creamy.
