“The food is very flavoursome, healthy and varied. The service is usually good and was this last time (not very busy). The previous visit was not as good - not enough place settings, even after asking; we had water glasses but no water, until we asked for it; and we seemed to be a blind spot for the waiter. So either that waiter improved or it depends on how busy it is.”

“The BEST chinese we have had in a very long time. Very authentic and yummy! Good size portions, amazing service from staff who were happy to chat and engage in conversation and a few laughs. Even went out of their way to make a special honey chicken dish which wasn't on the menu. Alcohol prices were also very good and not over priced. Had a beautiful dinner and who ABSOLUTELY recommend!!”

“Got badly let down by rosies red hot so came here for the first time. Blew every other Mexican gaff in welly out of the water. The best service we've had anywhere - amazing on the phone, great staff inside and simply amazing food. Walked past many times - this is now a firm family favorite.”

“Absolutely amazing! Emailed a couple of questions before coming and the replies were very quick and helpful. Service was amazing. The food, MY GOD THE FOOD, by far the best lamb dish I've had in wellington. Comes with these onions in a sauce that is just devine. 10/10 will be back again. An amazing experience especially for groups. Also as a note the salad at the start, idk what dressing is on it. But it's amazing !!!!”

“Pop in there awhile ago with some family members for dinner, out of the five of us I was the only vegetarian, I was very happy with the selection of meals I had to choose from, my meal was very tasty and great, I know the rest of my family were very happy with their meals, The staff were great and friendly and were very helpful with any questions you may have when you are having trouble ordering, their prices are good you really get your money wroth here, they do sell liquor here but it’s also BYO but if I remember correctly it’s little charge for being your own, overall it was awesome night, it’s awesome to have such a great Restaurant in the heart of Newtown!! Thank you”

“First time I have shopped at Placemakers and what a breath of fresh air compared to the utterly hopeless other large format building supply retailers in Porirua. The staff at Placemakers actually know what they are talking about, they are organized, helpful and offer customer service willingly - instead of trying to avoid customers which is what you get from staff at M10 and Bunnings. The drive through actually has room for vehicles - another improvement on the other two hopeless outfits. Placemakers is where I will be spending my DIY shopping in the future. Wish I had gone there years ago.”

“Great service, very friendly helpful guys, cheapest supplier around and I tried the 4 big brands. I brought too many bales of batts and they very happy to accept and refund me. I see in another review something about staff unwilling to move stacks around on a Saturday showed up about the same time on a Saturday on a long weekend and they quite happy to move stacks around (third stack in at the bottom so was a bit of work)”

“Frequent visitors to this store because of how well catered it is for kids. Our 3 year old had an accident at Bunnings Petone on the weekend and the staff were so incredible - knew the process,everyone helped accordingly and followed up with a phone call later that day and a gift sent via post. Couldn’t have felt better looked after and cared for - thank you team !!”

“Excellent place to shop, gets a little busy after work but aisles are spacious enough to keep a comfortable shopping experience. I like the hot food section - it saves me from those "don't feel like cooking" nights. Staff are nice and helpful. It's place in the middle of Tawa high street just makes it more attractive to visits.”

“Very nice Woolsworth to shop at. Rain or shine it's a great place. While in rain it has underground parking which is available for everyone. The staff are awesome with very helping nature. Always recommend to use this Woolsworth for shopping.”

“I use the delivery option...the personal shoppers are always very good at substituting items that are out of stock and also when there's free samples, they're good at making judgements and choosing based on the rest of my shopping. The delivery people are very nice too, my dog yells at them but they calm her down by chatting to her through the door. Using the delivery saver is cheaper than it would be for me to travel there and I don't have to carry anything up/down stairs or hills”

A reliable supermarket for everyday essentials.”

“New World is very close to my house and the best place to go shopping to. It has food for years, has food for anything you’re looking to get. They have a good service, very easy shopping with the staff and clearly marked aisles. They have kind chatty staff and the staff can easily help you find what you’re looking for. They never run out of stock, so if what you’re looking for isn’t there, ask staff to get it. New World is definitely one of the greatest shopping markets in NZ.”

Because they have staff that are abundant , available , friendly helpful & kind ... The specials are often far better value than the others . The policy of refund & replacement is seldom called upon but when it is the result is immediate which insures customer satisfaction . The wheelchair one may borrow suits this old biker who enjoys visiting his friends that are friends”
