   This Placemakers sold heat pump units to Williams Corporation for our new build townhouse. We had one issue with our Fujitsu heatpump but it was luckily fixed by Williams Corporation during our post-build scheduled fix-it check. Since then we, and several neighbours, have had issues with our Fujitsu heat pumps. Our homeowners manual lists Placemakers Seaview as our first point of contact. Emails to Placemakers requesting service support go unreturned and, after a phone call now, they insisted they only sell the units they don't support them. Plcaemakers recommends going direct to Fujitsu. Fujistu's manual says to first go to the place of purchase to arrange warranty service. There is no NZ contact information for Fujitsu. Placemakers was unmoved when I explained this to them and, after the issue was explained they agreed, reluctantly, to go "digging for the information" explaining, "they already told other owners they don't support the product". So, if you're looking for a business begging for complaints related to the Consumer Guarantees Act or just want a run around because they don't stand by the products they sell, this is your place.

   I work for one of their suppliers. Garth and his team are always a pleasure to deal with regarding any supplier or customer query. The Hutt City branch is a great support to Parmco a top quality 100% owned company with a 7 year warranty.

   Awesome service. Awesome kitchen and bathroom . Hamish had our best interest at heart and most importantly, he listened to what we were looking for with style. One small disappointment we were charged for a delivery. This service could of been made to be a bonus for customer. Instead it felt like a charged add on. For 25k spend. It should of been free delivery as it was local.

   Every time I've come here for advice, the staff have run round after me, looked things up, asked other staff and generally been about as friendly and helpful as can be. I've been to other hardware stores of course, but never had service as good as here. The whole team - from the guys outside in the yard, to the people in the office and on the counter - so helpful and friendly. Possibly the best service I've ever had anywhere at ANY kind of shop.

   Upon recommend from our builder we went to Placemakers for our kitchen. After hiccups at the very start with poor customer service and lack of product knowledge, we went against our better judgement and continued with the process. While the Peter Hay product itself is fantastic, wrong sized cabinets where supplied, bits where missing and items that we had discussed and envisage to be included, were not. The staff lack of product knowledge is unbelievable - given an estimate for a veratap hot water system $6000, purchased from another supplier for $1500. Estimated 10k for bench top and received a quotation from another supplier for exactly the sample product for $5500. It’s been 4 weeks since we notified them of the wrong cabinets being supplied and still waiting for new ones. My recommendation would be to look to alternative suppliers for your kitchen requirements. The only two positives from our Placemakers kitchen is that the product itself is fantastic and that our builder is doing a great job given the testing situation.
